Southern Breeze Motel, Myrtle Beach

I don't know why some reviews are negative. If you are high-class, goody -goody then this place isn't for those type of people. This is an old motel thats cheap and located on the beach. I have stayed at this motel numerous times. It does the same thing as those high dollar motels do. It provides me some television, roof over my head, somewhere to shower, balcony on the beach side if I want that, a pool, frig, stove, microwave and a place to stay cool.If you dont have a lot of money but want a decent place to stay then stay here. I don't see me staying anywhere else no time soon.

this hotel is the worst it is so nasty the rooms smell like smoke even in the non smoking rooms theres this old man that lives there we parked right outside the building to check in and he was out there looking at our car looking for their tag the elevator is small and very very slow the furniture is all beat up the pool is nasty DO NOT STAY HERE , we only stayed here 1 night and we payed $130 for it then we went over to the M Grande and stayed there for 6 nights for $99 a night. the woman that works in the front desk she smokes in the office

First and foremost, this motel is well below the stars that are posted. The entire mote reaps the smell of smoke and urine. Very old facility with old furnitue not to mention the fear of sleeping on the bed. We cancelled our 3 night stay and had to contact the authorities in an attempt to get a refund from management. Management was rude and refused to give back refund that my husband had just paid for with cash some 15 minutes earlier. Local tenants to include a gentlman wearing nothing more that his boxers. The picture shown on-line is deceptive. After threat of calling local authorities a refund was given and we relocated to Farifield Inn some ten miles away but much bettter facility. Please, prior to visiting or booking reservations go check out the facility. This Motel is not suitable for staying.

Southern Breeze Motel is wonderful! I really consider it my home away from home! The hotel staff are very friendly! The whole hotel has a great family sense to it! Sure it's not big and showy like other hotels but it's definately family oriented ,one reason being that its family owned! I would recomend this hotel to anyone who enjoys the quieter side of Myrtle Beach! its great if your looking for a relaxing vacation! They have private balcony's, and the rooms are very nice, and always clean! The maids are very nice and do an excellent job cleaning! We have stayed at this hotel for fourteen years and have always enjoyed it! I am sure that if you and your families stay here you will love it too!

It wasn't the best place to stay in the world, but it was decent for the price. I was worried about bugs, but I never saw the first one. The place was very well kept I must say. To be an older motel it was definately ok, and I never heard anything from the next door neighbors' room. I would stay there again. The only downside was the mattress was pretty hard. There was also a public access for the beach right there and a pancake house directly in front of the place.

Southern Breeze is one of the older motels at Myrtle Beach, but definitely one of the BEST! The pool is always clean, the staff are very friendly, and the rooms are pretty good size! My family stays in the oceanfront rooms, which has a separate bedroom and a full kitchen! Great place for families with children! Quiet rooms too, never heard a peep from our neighbors!

it was our first trip to myrtle beach. we picked this motel online site unseen and we were nervous. my friend was in myrtle beach the week before us and she drove by this motel and called me and said it was little. i was so scared because my whole family, (19 of us) were driving down from indiana going somewhere site unseen. when we pulled up it was small looking and you could tell it was older and not as fancy as the other hotel/motels around it but we continued in the motel. much to my suprise it was clean,the people were friendly willing to help with whatever we needed. our rooms were clean, no bugs. Mattress were hard, but whatever, it's not home. it's a good motel to stay in for the prices and you don't have to go out and eat if you don't want too because it has a full size fridge and a stove with oven you could cook meals on. there are so many places to eat & shop within walking distance, and i mean close by. we were steps away from the ocean & pool and even a ocean view deck we sat on every night. the building is concrete so you do not hear the person next door or upstairs or below you at all. the side rooms,(not oceanfront) have a view of the ocean. i would stay here again. i feel it was everthing i could have wanted for the price. my negative would be maybe new mattress and 1 more washer & dryer. (they only have one of each for the whole building)
