WORST VACATION EXPERIENCE EVER!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/08
I went to my fav beach Myrtle Beach at had the worst possible experience. In all the paper work I was given at check in was a tag to hang on mirror of my vehicle for id. I was never made aware my the rude front-desk man at check in that I had to display this or that it was even necessary. I stayed there in The Gazebo Inn for three days without this displayed on my mirror. Upon departure the last morning of our stay, I went to get our van to load our bags into it and The Gazebo Inn had had it towed the night before, because this tag was not displayed. The very hotel that I paid money to stay with had my car towed. Upon check in I had to indicate the make, model and tag number of my vehicle. My fiance is a car dealer , we were known by the owner to be the only dealer tag in the whole parking area. I had to pay over 250 dollars extra for cab fees and tow bill. This was rediculous. On top of that nightmare, the room was filthy, sand piled in corners, shower full of hair when i first looked in, comode not properly working, the towels and bed linen was atrocious. I thought of going to another hotel, glad I didn't cause I would have needed that money later for the tow bill. This was the rudest establishment that I have ever encountered in my many, many years of traveling. I would not advise anyone to stay there.
