Small showers
By ,
This is a older hotel. We stayed in the honeymoon suite. The shower was the size of a telphone booth. I will never stay there again as I like nice ammenities such as indoor pools and jacuzzis. If you want those type of things then stay somewhere else. If you just want to sleep then this palce would be okay. The bathroom was small. Overall I hated this place.

LOVED IT
By ,
Me and my family stay here every year and i have never once seen a cockroach and also the ppl who say they seen them u sure u didnt bring them with you lol. We have had small problems like a broken shower faucet and other things but it is a older hotel and that will happen . We did get great service though and enjoyed the complimentary ice cream on the fourth! The managers are great people and also they watch your cars for you and dont let people from off the blvd lean on them or touch them! It does have some rust but the beds are clean and they have recently added new furniture which is very nice. If you are used to a spotless hotel with hotubs and sofas and nice rooms then u need to stick to the resorts lol.

The projects
By ,
Hey all you people, its real simple juts drive up and down the neighboring streets like Fox St. or Chester St. and look at the the girls walking down the streets. The only thing missing is the mattress straped on there back!!! ...Its real simple they are plenty of motels to rent down there as long as its not the weekend of the 4 of july. Everytime someone wrights a negative thing about the place the owners or there friends will wright something positive, just ask to see one of the rooms before you rent. Warning!!! When you turn the lights on you will not find a single Cockroach or Bug in this Motel... THEY ARE ALL MARRIED AND GOT KIDS!!!

The Only Place I stay at Myrtle Beach
By ,
My family and I have been staying here since I was 5 and I am now 44. We would not stay any where else. We love this old inn. I have never once seen a cockroach. The place is clean. You might run into a small problem here & there with how something works. But it is a older hotel and that will happen from time to time. The rocking chairs on the back porch are the best way to send a prefect day! We always get great service and the owners are very nice Christian people. They believe in family & GOD!!! I have a lot of wonderful childhood memories from this place.

the chesterfield i remember
By ,
Look I hate seeing all these bad comments on here im pretty sure they are true but the chesterfield I remember was a beautifal place!!!! Im local and im 34 yrs. Old my grandmother and grandfather both worked theres when i was a kid. When mr. Brittion owned the chesterfield you can best belive things were ran alot better. Some of the best memeries of my grandmother was at the chesterfield. I cant tell you how many weekends and long summer days i got to go to work with her and loved every min. Of it. Its sad to ee it torned down the other day cause every time i would ride past there i would think about my grandparents. I see all kinda of complaints and i think back back to when the brittions owned it and it crazy.... i remember when my grandma had anther phone line at her house just so she could take reservation calls at night. Will always remember the chesterfield inn...one last note back then when the brittions owned anybody who worked there at that time would tell you they might of owned it but my grandma ran it......she didnt play

Worst hotel experience ever
By ,
My wife and I woke up at 2 in the morning to find our bodies covered in bed bugs. 'Nuff said. For those of you who have never experienced waking up to find insects on your body, I can tell you that it very well may be the most horrifying and traumatic way that a person can possibly wake up, next to someone screaming outside of your bedroom - something else that happened during our stay at the Chesterfield: noisy, drunk neighbors. Additionally, our "nonsmoking room" had the putrid smell of acrid smoke clinging to the walls and carpet. It was, quite simply, the worst hotel experience in our lives. $123 down the tubes. We cannot recommend enough that you turn elsewhere for your stay in Myrtle Beach.

Sad to see it go!
By ,
I just visited Myrtle Beach just as I always do through out the summer, I stay at the diplomat hotel. (because i believe in keeping the lil ma and pa's in oeration) but beside us is this hotel, Chesterfield Inn, reserchng it and taling with my friend (owner of the Diplomat) this place was built in 1932 and back in its time was one of the fanstiest hotels around. It has a formal dinning room. It is historic. I am telling you this to speak about what is happening now. It will be torn down!! I know if I could get the money I would save it. it would be around 2 million to save it and fix it it. I would take it to bear bricks and fix it like it was back in the day. I hope someone sees this and is rich and wants to save a little Inn on Myrtle Beach. A gold put put will be put in its place. SO SAD TO SEE A LANDMARK GO!!!

what a way to say i do
By ,
my son bo roper and now daughter in law amy were married at the chesterfield inn sunday oct.4th.what a beautiful afternoon with little or no breeze blowing.as friends and family gathered at this historic inn and landmark for two people whose lives became one they also were a part of something that should be a fixture forever in our minds. the back lawn over looking atlantics big blue. time stood still for all those events hosted and arranged by the mitchells.ms.karen and her staff were 5 star accomadating to bo and amy.thank you for letting your inn and heart share in their journey. so to everyone including myself that jumps on soap boxes and critize take time to go by chesterfield inn 700 n ocean blvd.and breathe in some ocean air and some character.oh yeah take your cameras too. God bless you mitchells. frank roper

Not Bad comfortable
By ,
Our first time to Myrtle Beach we checked other hotels could not find a ocean front view. We love the ocean. Stopped there was given a good price. This Inn was not the greatest place but I did not see any bugs. The shower was great the rooms were a little out dated but I always take my own blankets etc. Just me We were very confortable really loved the view . We walked the paths and to me If I had a choice I would of picked this place to stay. Not sure what the other rooms looked like but I liked mine. I liked the rockers on the porch.
