Great Western Inn, Stamford

The room was big with a kitchen and sitting area. The kitchen was without a fridge or range or evan a microwave although the guest pamplet said every room had a microwave and a fridge. The beds were average for a motel of this type. Perhaps they didn't use this room often because it was not very clean. The ac worked very well. It had the room cooled off nicely in a short time. I had to go to the office to get ice as there were no ice machines near the rooms and no vending machines anywhere to be found. Thank goodness Walmart and Subway were nearby. But most importantly the manager was very friendly and helpful. I really think he was interested in making this as pleasant a stay at his motel as he could. This was not our first stay here and it may not be our last.
