Terrible customer service! Lack of communication.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/9/11
I am extremely dissatisfied with this place. They ran an ad on Groupon, and I called them to book a room. They didn't answer the phone for a while. Finally, after four or five tries during different times of the day, a lady picked up the phone. I asked her about the particular weekend and she said all rooms eligible for a Groupon offers are booked, but they have a room for a regular price available that weekend. I planned to have a romantic getaway with my husband to celebrate my birthday. I provided her with my credit card information to book a regular room. Next day, my credit card company called me and said there was an unauthorized access to my account, so they closed that account and issued me a new card. I immediately called Angle’s Nest to find out if they had any issues with processing the card. Of course, nobody picked up the phone. I left them a voice message. They called the next day and I couldn’t pick up the phone because I was driving. I pulled to the curb and called them back FIVE minutes later. Nobody answered and their voice machine was full. I’ve been calling them for two days many times a day, and nobody ever answered the phone. The voice mail was always full. Finally, when I dialed their phone seventh or eighth time, a lady said they rented out my room to somebody else. Very disappointing.

great for rekindeling love in our marriage
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/14/11
When we checked in the owner gave us lots of info on places to visit and eating establishments. Most of our time was spent relaxing in our jacuzzsi bathtub or on our private balcony. We had a Lovers Delight with shrimp, strawberries, grapes, cheese & crackers while we sat on our balcony in the bathrobes they provided. It was more romantic than our honeymoon. We had gotten away from our work, kids, problems and was in another town to far to go back home. In the past we went to a B & B only to come home early, feeling guilty about the work we had neglected. Not this time, we were happier that we had been in years. The room was very pretty, clean, cool and there were beautiful flowers that made the whole room smell wonderful. We are particular about our coffee. The coffee maker in our room had really good coffee, made by Wolfgang Puck, regular & de-calf.The two day's we spent there was just what we needed for our troubled marriage. My sister suggested that we go there because our marriage was in trouble. She was right, just some quality/romantic time spent together in a beautiful place with no distractions. The Temperpetic Mattress which was increditable, never slept so good. I plan to check out the prices on a Temperpedic mattress soon. I thank Angels Nest for the romantic boost my husband and I needed. Our marriage is better than ever. Cheryl Williams

Loved the charm & warmth of this B&B!
By Dorie, 6/24/10
We were referred to Angel's Nest & were very pleased with our stay. Our room was cool when we arrived & the following morning we received a knock at the door & opened it to a wonderful breakfast prepared by Janet. We requested milk with breakfast & they didn't have any on hand but every day afterwards it was on our tray with breakfast! I have to think Janet made a trip to the store to meet my husbund's request. The special attention to details from Janet I find rare these days in the fast paced life we lead, refreshing to see someone take the time & truly care about their customers!! We really enjoyed our stay & the place has so much charm & history compared to your typical hotel chains. The craftmanship in this place was most impressive, they don't make houses like that anymore!! Checked the history on the place at local library, turns out a fellow Irishman is responsible for building this beautiful place. You have to wonder what it was like back in the early 1900's when you could listen to the laughter of children playing in what much have been a castle to them. Can't wait to come back to Weatherford and check out another room, I already have it picked out! Would recommend this to anyone!

Homecoming Delight
By Prissy, 10/29/09
I recently had friends from New York to visit for WHS homecoming. I made reservations for them at Angel's Nest. They were so pleased with everything, from the greeting of the owner, the beautiful room, great food, and just overall comfort. They could not have been happier. I called the owner and told her I would never hesitate to make plans for other friends to stay at the Angel's Nest. Thank you again.

We will visit again!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/08
We were celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary and didn't want to go too far. We chose Angel's Nest and couldn't have been more pleased. Our room was beautiful with a private belcony. Breakfast was out of this world: our first morning we had homemade blueberry pancakes with a fried egg on top and bacon, the second morning we were greeted with a melt-in-your mouth ham and cheese quiche and homemade biscuits. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable and very quaint experience, I definately suggest Angel's Nest. We are planning another visit very soon!!!

Very dissapointed
By Dissapointed, 10/20/08
The grounds were very pretty and very peaceful, the person running the place was nice and accomodating but for the price we paid, we were sadly very dissapointed. Our intentions were to stay there two nights, but after sleeping there one night we were wanting to leave in the morning only to have inn-keeper present me with my bill and check out wasn't till the next day (very weird). Inn-keeper had a nice dog my daughters enjoyed petting, but when I left my daughters room door open, I walked in with no shoes on to find dod poop on the carpet. Very disturbing. Couldn't sit on the balcony to enjoy sunset because of bees nest. Large tv was nice, but no door on the bathroom?? ;( Place does look nice on the outside but totally different on the inside. Paint peeling off the wall, dusty, Ralph Lauren sheets look pretty but very itchy against your skin which made for a very long sleepless night. Unfortunately we won't be recommending this one. Free wine was nice...oh my mistake...it wasn't free after all.

Fantastic place
By Happy Guest!, 10/14/08
The grounds were lovely, well manicure, and peaceful. The staff was warm and welcoming, efficient, and so very nice. The house itself is so clean and well kept. We had a luncheon for about 25 and there was not one complaint about the experience. Everyone loved it. We were treated like royalty! Food was fantastic. Several of us stayed for two nights. The rooms were superb. Plush bedding, comfortable beds, great baths. Breakfast on both mornings was really good. I highly recommend this B&B to all. Anyone who doesn't like it probably wouldn't be happy with a night in Buckingham Palace!!

Wow! How things have changed for the better.
By Sunny, 8/29/08
I was shocked when I read the two reviews of the Angel's Nest. I just recently celebrated my birthday there and it was by far one of the BEST bed and breakfast establishments that I have visited. It started out with being greeted by the owner to the tune of happy birthday and then being escorted to a beautifully decorated and very romantic room. There I found balloons, chilling wine and a birthday cake. The owner, Candace, then allowed us to view other rooms and peruse the entire house soaking in all the photographs, antiques and geniune charm. The private patio/porch boasted an inviting hot tub which we used, a rattan chase big enough for a family and very inviting. You could see the big screen televison from Mars. It was inviting, enticing and most hospitable. The other reviews were from years ago. Please don't be mislead by them and not allow yourself the unigue experience of visiting the Angel's Nest. Lastly, we awoke to the smell of a truly old fashioned breakfast. I still have dreams about the biscuts and the homemade preserves.

Don't bother - It's not worth it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/30/07
From the outside, this place looks pretty neat. An old victorian house with nice landscaping. But what a disappointment! The room we were given (room #5) was covered in dust. You could write your name on the furniture. There was no door to our bathroom! I hope you are comfortable watching yourself in the mirror as you do your business, because the bathroom is completely covered in mirrors. There is no shower, just a jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was fairly new, but I doubt an elderly person could shimmy up the side of this monster to get in without falling. Breakfast is served in the room. No choices were offered for breakfast. I guess everyone wanted the bacon & scrambled eggs. They do not accept credit cards and require a money order prior to your arriving. That should have been a red flag. And forget trying to get your money back. We paid for two nights up front. After staying one night we were ready to get out of there. We asked for our money back for the second night but you can guess what they said. And their answer to the dirty room, " I will have a talk with our housekeeper".
