Hometown Inn, Statesboro

the room was clean and the bed was the best. It usually takes me about two nights before I can sleep . I came back because of the comfort and location . I have paid three times the price only to toss & turn !!

This place was the worst overnight stay that I have ever experienced!!!!! When we arrived there, i was given a smoking room when I asked for no-smoking being that I have a baby!!!!! And the manager was informed of that. After checking out the first room I was giving another room which was was not as bad as the first one, but, it was still filty!!! I then asked for another room (which the front desk clerk told me was availiable) which was a king sized room. The the manager came in saying that there was somthing wrong with the room. There was nothing wrong!!!!!!!!! What is was, they were having some kind of function on the outside that included over 100 of their family members!!!!!!! They took up most of the rooms!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only were the rooms dirty, the carpet was filty looked like mold, the towels were dity, the stove and microwave was disgusting, and the service was poor. To be honest the only reason why we stayed there is because of the price!!! You get what you pay for and that was poor service!!!!!!

The room had roaches, frayed carpet, filthy stove, and one of the towels was dirty. If it had not been so late at night and my son and I had not been so tired, we - without question - would not have stayed in this room. But we had been to six other hotels in the area and there was no rooms available (starting of Spring Break for some Ga schools).

I did not like my stay at hometown inn. Price is what pulled me in but you get what you pay for. Rooms are very small. Could hear people walking upstairs. Lot of noise. They just replaced beds because of bugs (health department almost closed the property) so you can imagine level of cleanliness.......... I prefer other franchises instead..
