My WORST travel experience! AVOID AT ALL COST!

Ok, its not the Ritz Carlton, or even a Sheraton Four Points. Its the only game in town, and they know it, and could not give a DAMN about your stay. The rooms are terribly decorated, with mish mash furnishings that looks as if they were gathered at a salvage yard.
I was staying with my company down the street, which had made arrangements for me. As I would need to have a cash paid out done at the store, they were asked to let me stay and we would pay for the week. I was rudely called three separate times on the first evening to ask about the payment, (after this had been decided, and discussed). I rushed back the next day and paid the week out so I wouldnt be kicked out. I come upstairs to find my carpet soaking wet. Then I get a phone call at 9pm to "remind" me to empty the icebucket, placed under the AC to catch the condensation. So I spent that evening emptying the ice bucket. The sheets were questionable, and the bedspreads were very worn. The next day, after working all of 14 hrs, I grab some dinner to bring back to my room. I walk in to find my bed stripped to the mattress, and its almost 95 degrees inside. I called the office to ask where the linen was. I was told that i would need to move to the room nextdoor, as the ac was broken, and was soaking the floor (DUH?). So I spent almost an hour moving into the room next door almost as devoid of character or style of any kind, with the exception of there was no table or desk. Only a 1960's herculon recliner, which stank of days of old. I wrestled the stinky chair into the next room, and moved a table and a desk into the new (?) room. I got a insincere halfhearted apology, where upon I exploded that this was the worst treatment I had ever received at a hotel anywhere in 30 years. No mention of "let us help you", or "let us make this right by reducing the rate for your inconvenience". I mean if they knew they were going to change the room, they couldve moved my belongings accordingly, as Ive had happen in situations before, or even offered to help. What they dont know is I was going to stay here for 3 months-and they have cancelled out a 3 month fare due to their unconcern. I can drive to Adel and get a room for HALF the rate!! Its sad that this business is the "only game in town" and they just dont care. I mean if I were the only hotel in a town, I think I would be a bit more concerned with the appearance and service. And perhaps hiring an exterminator to kill the wasp problem here would be nice, as there were thousands here.
If you have to stay here-DONT. Its really bad to feel you have no choice but to accept substandard service. Im rating this at one star, but its maybe one tenth of a star. Its just not worth the 252 bucks I spent here.
