Lakeland Inn, Lakeland

Building is quite old (1950's) and run down. The pool wasn't working (not mentioned when reservation was made). Nice family that runs the place. Just needs more TLC. If you're going to stay in Lakeland, it is the only hotel. I just wish it was a little nicer.

This is nice quite place in a small town. Our stay was pleasant & relaxing. We have no complaints about our room or service. We will stay here again if we ever pass back through Lakeland, GA.

This place is an old dump. We checked in at 4PM on a hot June day and were not told the air conditioning was not working. The rooms are tiny, too small for two beds. No space to stow luggage. Bathroom hardly has enough room to turn around. This place looks like it was built in the 1930's and has had little maintenance. The office is a tiny cubby hole stuck in the back of the motel. We wouldn't have found it if the receptionist/housekeeper had not found us looking around. Don't stay here unless you are desparate. The nearest major motel is 25 miles away, but we opted to get another motel because of the heat and state of the room.

If you have any reason to be in or near Lakeland, it is an exellent place to stay! We have stayed here several times and we love it! Always clean and inviting! Very nicely decorated.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in the Lakeland Inn for ten days while conducting business in Lakeland. The owners, David and Jennifer Smith, are fine folks. The inn is a refurbished motel and they have done a lovely job! I felt like I had entered a Mary Engelbreit painting when I walked in my room. Bright colors, clean, cozy furnishings and all the amenities of a larger, newer motel were all available, including wireless Internet. In addition, there is a lovely garden on the motel grounds, complete with a comfy swing, gurgling fountains, birdsong, and blooming flowers. I was relaxed and comfortable for my entire stay. The owners are engaging, friendly, helpful. The staff also are wonderful. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a quiet respite from the busy-ness of life.
