The Beachview Club, Jekyll Island

I've stayed at this hotel two times and love it. It is so clean and the setting is just beautiful. There are trees between the hotel and beach which makes the walk to the beach (which is short) that much better because it's in the shade. I highly recommend this hotel.

We try to spend a few days in Jekyll Island every year (on our way to Florida). We usually stay at the Comfort Inn which was just right next door to the Beachview Club. We arrived to find that it had changed names and management and undergoing extensive renovation which meant we couldn't stay there. We drove to the Beachview Club and the staff told us they were booked but we could stay there one night. We accepted and were placed in a lovely room right near the pool and hot tub with a wonderful view of the ocean. As luck would have it, the people who were booked to stay in our room the next night called and cancelled so that gave us a second night there. The weather was cool but the pool water temp was at least 85 degrees and the hot tub was probably 100 degrees (and all the jets worked!) We're looking forward to a longer stay next February.

After a long drive, we pulled up to our hotel which was booked for us. It was nasty, so we went to another hotel next too it... it was also substandard.... so we came to the Beachview Club. The attendant was VERY pleasant and showed us 2 rooms to pick from. We were VERY pleased when we walked in... Nice, clean and updated! The next morning we were shocked at our view... We had a pool view and an ocean view. It was wonderful. Do not bother going to the Oceanfront Clarion or the Villas by the sea.... This is the place... Trust me!! If the price is more, just pay it... don't regret making a reservation somewhere else that you can't cancel when you get there.

Very nice motel, great view,lovely trees all around. The staff very accomodative. Room was great. nice pool. Will stay here on our next trip here.
