Broken Arrow Lodge, Livingston

I really enjoy the country atmosphere and the peace and quiet of the area. There's a fishing pier and boat launch, camp sites, rv hook-ups or comfy rooms, some even have kitchenettes. The rates are reasonable and the owners, Joyce and Ernest are real friendly folks. At Thanksgiving time of 2006, the rooms were filled by contruction workers who were putting in a pipeline in the area. Well, Mis Joyce felt for the ones who weren't going to get to go home, so she bought turkeys and her hubby, Ernest, smoked them for their guests. Talk about some good eating! Halloween, she made treats for all of their guests. She's as sweet as she can be. They have a small store where they rent out fishing poles, trolling motors and much more. And summertime on Lake Livingston is a real treat with swimming, fishing, fishing tournaments, boating and on the 4th of July, there's a spectacular fireworks display. I highly recommend Broken Arrow Marina for a weekend getaway or a week-or-two long vacation.
