A Southern Belle
By Darlene, 10/10/09
I just attended a wedding here. I found the grounds beautiful but lacking color. The home is a dream, but due to neglect is run down. I walked in and saw what could be a gorgeous home but was disappointed in the people who are in charge of the home. It was like a beautiful Southern Belle, after the Civil War.

Get a Written Quote First
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/06
Get a written quote before you make a reservation. Don't rely on what is written on the website. The website states that the basic package is $89 with a "plantation breakfast." I was also told over the phone that the basic package was $89. I asked if we would have a private bath and she said of course. She later told me that $99 was the charge for a room with a private bath. Thats not much more money but its misleading. We only had one bath cloth between the both of us for two days and I had to go in search of more myself (we never saw anyone, we just got notes on the kitchen table). Our plantation breakfast consisted of cereal and breakfast bars on the kitchen table, milk, orange juice etc, in the refrigerator. The house is beautiful but make sure you know what you are paying for and what you will actually get beforehand.

Needs a lot of work
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/06
The area and the actual building itself is nice, but could use a lot of refinement. It could use a lot of work on the outer parts of the building; structrual and cosmetic. If they would take the time and money, this place would be really nice. Currently, i would not recommend this place for anyone unless they are at the end of their choices.
