Western Motel, Quitman

I LIKE THE FACT FIRST OF ALL THAT THE FRONT DESK WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN DECENT PRICE AND THEY ACCOMODATED ME AND MY FAMILY EVEN THO' THEY DIDN'T ACCEPT DOGS THEY MADE ACCEPTION WITH DEPOSIT. BATHROOM CLEAN***SHEETS CLEAN**** SAFE****TV,CABLE,WIRELESS****TOWELS CLEAN***. I WOULD STAY AGAIN! THEY EVEN HAVE A HOT TUB SUITE!

This place was the best roadside motel i have every stayed in. The service was great!! the staff was very very friendly and made me feel at home. The desk clerk was very knowledgeable about the area and told me the best spots to eat and go shopping. The room as spotless and clean, much more then other motels around the area. Absolutely the best motel experience i have had in a while, I highly recommend this to any locals if your traveling definitely make this a pit stop, you wont be disappointed.

We are stuck here for the night, or else I would leave right now. It is right next to the highway with no sound buffering. The semi trucks may as well be in the room with you. There was a prostitute doing a "transaction" in the parking lot while we were getting our bags out of the car. The inner walls are also thin. There are huge dark spots on the floor that my feet stick to. It does not look like it has been vacuumed for a couple of uses at least. Theinformational papers on the door are peeling off. The sheets are old and ripped. The mattress pad is matted with short black curly hairs. The blanket on the other bed has blood spots on the liner side. We had to mix and match sheets to get something that we were willing to sleep on until we could go somewhere else for a shower. It was supposed to be a nonsmoking room, but smells of smoke and has burn holes in the carpet. The night stand is made of particle board that is so swollen that the fake wood grain is popping off in sheets. The globe over the light is full of dead bugs. I am pretty grossed out all the way around. The room was $53 a night, and I am wanting to ask for a refund. The positives, there is a small fridge and microwave if you need it and would actually be willing to eat anything in the room. There is a series of locks and bolts on the door. There is a good sized window you can keep a watch on your car, and you will kind of need to. I have not seen any bugs besides the dead ones in the light yet. The TV is a little old school, but has a decent picture and is a good size. There are also some cable channels. There is an air conditioning unit, but it is unplugged. I am assuming it works.

My family and I love this hotel. The hotel is really clean and the owners/staff is really nice. We stay there everytime we go to Quitman.
