Greatwood Country Cabin, Kinder

Don't expect free beer and wine from 5-7 in the afternoon or breakfast in the dining room. What you can expect is two people (Howard and Glenda) that bust their asses 365 days a year to make sure that your stay at Greatwood Cabins is the BEST! I have been there many many times and hope to return many many more times. There's a Casino next door just in case you want to make a donation to the Great State of Louisiana :-) Enjoy! The owners came to check on us every day to make sure we had what we needed. They brought us a barbecue grill even though it was pouring down rain, we managed to grill out between rain showers. The cabins are very clean and even the smoking cabins did not smell like cigarette smoke at all. The towels are soft and fluffy and smell fresh and clean. There was a little noise from the road, but over all, I'd stay there again! Our friends stayed in the cabin next to us and we grilled out every morning and evening. The shuttle came quickly when we called for it and brought us right back to our front door. You can't go wrong staying here!

Nothing to dislike. Very nice, clean and comfortable. Owners are really friendly. This was our 2nd stay there and will be returning in a couple of weeks. It's really worth the few extra dollars from the rest of the hotels in the area.

This place was very nice. The cabin was clean, roomy and very comfortable. The people working there were very friendly. We did hear a little highway noise from inside the room, but to be expected since this place is right on the highway. Only thing we didn't like is that the bathroom is separated from the rest of the cabin by a partial wall. If you are "bathroom shy" this can be uncomfortable. I hope I have a reason to return to Kinder someday so I can stay at the cabins again.
