I'm so "over" snooty, and feeling like a beggar because I have Boston Terriers in tow. I'd RATHER stay in a clean old doghouse than any new chain motel made of papershell pecans... so this was a perfect fit.
We made The Cabins a base-of-ops while house hunting from BSL to P. City, and three weeks there were delightful... always a relief "to come-home-to"... no questioning eyes, no adjacent noises-in-the-night, no headlights through the windows. It is what it is, and it's ten steps from your car to your own little porch!
I even felt a sense of community with neighboring visitors... BSL is a very friendly place, and its kids still have manners.
It didn’t look like much at first but it was so quiet and peaceful and right on the water. The owner is a bit eccentric but they went out of their way to make us comfortable. School is about to start and the kids are already asking if we will go back next summer....you betcha!
My husband is from Bay St. Louis, and he took me down for a little getaway. The Cabins at Shoreline Park is where we stayed. When we checked in, I first thought "What have I got myself into" because, at first glance, it looks like a pretty crappy place to be staying. But when we got in our cabin, it got a little better. There's no formal anything in the cabin, just kind of like a fishing cabin that a grumpy old man might stay in.
The bed had me kinda scared, no headboard, no foot board, no side tables either.
But the more we settled in, the quaintness and cozyness of the 1-room cabin began to come out, and it was almost like a secluded getaway.
The room was not fancy by ANY means, but we enjoyed the stay.
A good majority of the average vacationers wouldn't dare stay there, but for the few of us that are looking for a "diamond in the rough", a quiet getaway from the ordinary, or anyone looking for an inexpensive place to stay and enjoy some fishing right outside your door... the Cabins at Shoreline Park is the place to stay!
At first glance, the cabins didn't look so nice. My husband and I just stopped by the area to check out the accomodations near the casinos since we didn't want to pay the high hotel fees. We also wanted somewhere quiet and close to the water so we could go fishing.
Once we saw the inside of cabin number 1, we were sold! We stayed the weekend and had everything we needed: stove, microwave, tv, etc. And the best feature was that the cabins are located directly on the water so we could walk out our front porch and go fishing! The manager is willing to get you everything you need to make you comfortable so that was very nice as well.
With convenience and excellent location, you are sure to be comfortable at Bay Marina. Some property amenities include boat launch,
restrooms, wireless internet and cable television hookup.
