The Palmetto Inn & Suites, Panama City Beach

Great location, value,service, cleanliness. Enjoyed my stay.

We were called and told that THEY (Palmetto Inn) made a mistake in the price quoted (twice), and we would have to pay an additional $323.00 for our 4 night stay or they will cancel our reservation. We received this call the week before we where to arrive, we had already bought airline tickets, and rented a car. We where given the choice of paying the extra or they would cancel our reservation. Now keep in mind that we had a reservation with a confirmation that stated the price, type of room, the deposit charged to my card, and it even stated that this was a guaranteed reservation. When I stated the obvious that this was their mistake, not mine...I was told that everyone makes mistake and I should understand that. I told her as a business owner myself I am aware that mistakes happen, however you dont expect someone else to pay for your mistake. Be aware if you make a reservation you may get the same call I did. When I told them I had a guaranteed reservation with a confirmation #, I was told that "it doesnt mean anything, they all say that"

The Palmetto Inn is the ONLY place I'd consider staying the next time my family goes to Panama City. It's perfect for families....it's away from the east side of Panama City that is wall-to-wall high rise hotels, loud bars and tattoo parlors..... Palmetto staff was friendly and helpful....the hotel room was AWESOME. The entire hotel exceeded our expectations...we had a GREAT time there!

We have stayed here 2 times and loved it both times the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are soo clean and well maintained the best ones are the ones on the ends with the big side windows so you can see all the way down the beach from inside and the balconies are great the only thing is the parking its hard to find a decent spot to park sometimes but you can get lucky and the pool and hot tub are always clean!! We will be coming back!!

I always go on spring break here with my friends and we have stayed at this hotel 3 times! We choose it because it is not a party place but you can still easily drive down the road for a party or walk down to the boardwalk! I feel safe going out in the morning on the beach by myself and also love it during the day! The rooms are not of the highest quality but i am barely in my room all day because im out having fun in PCB! I have never had to have any interactions with the staff so i don not know their personalities but many people say they are great! I love this hotel and im going back for my 4th visit in one week! yay!

This was a great hotel - wonderful staff that was so helpful. The delux queen suite was HUGE - with an oversized balcony. You could not beat the price per night anywhere. Parking was no problem - extra lot was directly across the street if ocean front lot was full. The room was so clean - we were very - very impressed and will stay here when we are able to come to PCB again! I even left a jacket there and they sent it to me within 2 days after my calling them after I had left. Wonderful - family owned hotel. Great pool and workout room. Just can't say enough good things about it.

This was a wonderful place for a vacation..The room was big..CLEAN, and very nice. The Pool and hot tub were amazing..the staff were the best. The indoor pool was nice....The exercise room was very nice. We had a great time. Could not think of one negative thing to say about anything. Although we had rain most of our stay..the nice atmosphere and the amenities of the hotel made up for the bad weather. We really enjoyed staying here.

Parking was terrible, too many rooms not enough decent parking spots. We had to walk from the gravel lot and cross the busy road with a 4 year old. The room smelled terrible and I had to count all of the silverware and kitchen utensils. I have never, never had to do this before and we have stayed at quite a few very nice condos and cabins in the mountains. We asked for an extra pillow because we had 5 people in the room, and the girl at the front desk acted like I asked her to chop her hand off. It took them over an hour to find us a pillow. I even paid $10.00 extra a night to have the extra person. We will never, ever stay there again

Could not have been a better place to stay. Very family friendly, clean, great beach, clean pools, attentive staff, no complaints. We hope to return next year.

We were used to staying at the Gulf State Park which was destroyed in the hurricane so had to hunt a new place to stay. This place was excellent. The new beachfront hotel has a wonderful view. It was very new and clean. They were constantly working to clean the pool and other areas. I was impressed with the flags and beach warning system they used to keep guests informed of a riptide, and other beach activities. We felt very safe in this area also. The beach area was not crowded at all, and everyone was quiet and low key. Great for families! Much better price than surrounding locations also.
