We like the way Skip & Cathy make you feel TOTALLY at home! We had a wonderful week-end...loved meeting Al at the family restaurant, and had a superb meal at Ms. Pam's Fisherman's Wife Restaurant. Robert & Linda

I never stayed at this hotel, but I can surely tell you I never will. I called the hotel to check on room availability and rates and the man who answered the phone was so rude I informed him he could keep his business and I would never stay there. Looking at other reviews, apparently I am not the only person who feels this man is rude!

Really loved the peaceful, laid back atmosphere. My room was beautiful and clean and the owners were friendly and accommodating. My new favorite place to visit... can't wait to go back this summer!

We were in the condo for a month earlier this year. The bedding and frig were clean. The rest of the place was dirty. The window sills looked as though they had not been cleaned in years. The entertainment center was covered with about a half inch of dust, which turned to black dirt when I cleaned it. There was a pile of debris at the end of the walkway near where we parked which was so big that I feared the whole place would go up in flames if someone threw a lighted cigarette or match into it. This place would be OK if owners would clean their yards and not pile it on empty property and if Skip would really clean #45. Skip was rude and unfriendly. His wife was OK.

Absolutely perfect. Upscale, yet casual and Key West-y - everything you could want and more. The new Cajun restaurant on the property is excellent, and just a 1-minute walk! We love the included offsite breakfast at Carrabelle Beach. Will be back every chance we get.

The Old Carrabelle Hotel is a jewel on the Florida Gulf of Mexico. Relaxing, laid-back, great accomodations that are very Key West style, fantastic breakfast package at Two Al's. Can't beat it. Hosts are gracious and bend over backwards to meet the needs of their guests. Every time my husband and I stay at the Hotel or at Beachside, it's worth every penny (and very reasonable)!

I visited Carrabelle for the Labor Day weekend last year and stayed at the Lanark Village condo offered by the Old Carrabelle Hotel. The accommodations were clean, quiet, and convenient to the beach and local restaurants. The owners, Skip and Kathy were extremely friendly hosts and treated us like family. Overall, the experience was so pleasant, I've already made my reservations for the entire last week of August.

I cannot say enough positive things about the Old Carrabelle Hotel. It has been beautifully restored and has the laid-back feel of the old coastal village where it is located. The owners are very helpful and it's nice to have breakfast at a nearby family restaurant where you can choose anything off the menu from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. instead of a narrow window of time with a limited choice to eat as with most B&Bs. Also, the price is reasonable for that part of the coast. Carrabelle is a great place to stay to relax and is just minutes from St. George Island and Appalachicola.

I was also not told it was a bed and breakfast until I arrived. I walked into someones home thinking I was arriving at a hotel. You can hear anything in the big home. There are openings above room doors. Bring toothpaste. I could not find the breakfast place that i paid extra for and could not reach the hotel for an address to plug into my gps. An hr later I was told the directions about 1.5 mi on 98 were clear enough. I did not meet the folks at all - checked in late left early. There might be more reviews if more people stayed there.
