never go there again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/07
First of all the only reason we stayed here is we were tired and ready to get off the road and didn't want to spend the 100 bucks at LaQuinta. It was like 10:30 and I guees the owner was asleep because he was in his p.j's when he came to the window and was really rude. When I asked if any rooms were available and for how much he just shoved the reservation paper through the slot in the window. He was very unfriendly and I was ready to just walk away but I had my husband and 2 year old with me who were tired. The room was clean and seemed ok. The toilet was very loud when you flushed. I was afraid I would wake up the entire hotel if I flushed. The front walls of the room were paper thin. You could hear everything as if it were happening in your room including the train and trucks!!! Needless to say I didn't sleep very well due to the noise. So if you are a light sleeper or someone who doesn't like their sleep disturbed this place is not for you. Oh and when I went to check out it took forever for someone to come to the front desk. When he did, he was seemed like a totally diferent person. So if you are looking for a good cheap decent hotel and don't mind all the things I just stated then it is an ok place to stay.

Wont Return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/06
To start, the front desk staff was very freindly and courteous. Clean and attractive form the outside. First noticed what appeared to be dried cola on the door, door handles, and the tv. No remote for the tv. No phone in the room. Staff stated previous guests dog chewed up the phone and remote. The fridge that comes with the room wasnt in the room. The light was burned out over the vanity, leaving the shower with a twilight atmosphere. The tiolet flushing mechanism broke, forcing us to flush using the mechanism with the lid off the tank. My wife and I are a local couple merely attempting to enjoy a night away from the house. We refused to let those things ruin our night away from the house. The in room jaccuzi was very nice. We advised the staff of the issues and that we would not be back for another visit. We were returned 100% of our purchase.

DISGUSTING!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/05
The place looked fine from the outside. We arrived very late (about 2:00am) exhausted from driving all day so we were just thankful to be off the road. We checked into the room and went immediately to bed. We both noticed that the bed linens smelled "unfresh" but were too tired to investigate. The next morning we discovered that the bed sheets were somewhat soiled and they were very old with holes in them etc. The coffee maker still had coffee in it from the previous guest as well as old grounds in the drip basket. The bathroom floor and tub had strands and clumps of hair everywhere. The shower head was not adjustable and was positioned so the water sprayed against the side wall of the shower. We had to stand sideways and lean against the (dirty) shower wall just to get wet. I was digusted and when I checked out I told the owner of all of this and asked for a refund or some sort of credit. He pointed to a huge sign that read "ABSOLUTELEY NO REFUNDS IF YOU SPEND MORE THAN 10 MINUTES IN YOUR ROOM"...Obviously, he must get frequent complaints. He told me if I was unhappy I should have said something the previous night. Obviously I did not make these discoveries until the next morning and when I told him that he began SCREAMING at me to leave his property. I contacted my bank and had the charges reversed so he ended up giving me the refund anyway, despite his total lack of customer service. Do yourself a favor and choose another hotel on the same intersection, there are several to choose from. Maybe this guy will eventually get a clue and find another business to get into...something that doesn't require sanitation and/or hospitality.

In Seguin for softball tournament
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/03/05
...our room for Friday night was not available according to the front desk clerk, even with a confirmation number....we ended up in a one bed smoking room for 4 people. Okay, it would have probably been okay for a smoking patron, but, we don't smoke and the room wreaked of cigarette smoke...in the rug...on the pillows....on the comforters...it was simply unbearable! Words of advice, call ahead....confirm your reservation....we received a regular room the following night which made up for the smoking room.
