I've stayed here 5 or 6 times. It's not the Marriott or Hyatt Regency, for Pete's sake, but I've never had the good fortune of getting a non-smoking king room with microwave and fridge for $50 bucks or so at those high-end places, either. I find the rooms clean, large, and fresh. The beds are firm, but not hard. Okay, plan to get breakfast down the street. It's a good place to stop when headed north to Houston or a good "launching pad" south of town so you miss the traffic. Several decent little restaurants and stores nearby and a big mall 3 or 4 miles north. Summary--a good value when all you want is a comfortable place to sleep. My wife and I will be there again this weekend. She is perfectly satisfied with the accommodations and happy that we save more than enough to catch Dimassi's Mediterranean buffet a time or two just up the road a few minutes.
