Awesome!
By Mary, 4/2/12
We arrived on Friday night. Picked up our key at the office and was directed to a trailor on pilings that had a beautiful deck overlooking the marsh, and when we opened the front door we were shocked by the cleanliness of the quaint trailor. We decided to stay and have supper there and were again very pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. We woke up on Saturday morning had a very good breakfast at the restaurant. We then got on the boat with Capt Blain and had an amazing time fishing and hearing his fish stories. I am not a fisherman so I really just went to hang with my husband and friends but Blain wouldn't hear of that. He had me fishing and loving it in no time. I did not want to leave. On the way home I asked my husband when we were going to come back. Totally loved it!

Working away from home.
By Mstrr, 7/15/11
I stayed here while I was working the 252 spill this past summer. I spent a total of 12 weeks here and I have to say that it was one of the easiest spills responses I have ever been on. Connie and everyone there made me feel like one of the family rather than just there to work. It made it easier to be away from home. I look forward to the day I get to see everyone again.

Good place - for bayou country
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/10
Spartan, but well maintained and spotlessly clean rooms. Super-friendly staff - if you take the time to stop and chat with them. Good food at the restaurant and decent value for where you are. If you are looking for chain-hotel standards, or inexpensive diner food, DON'T come down to the bayous, as you will be disappointed. But for awesome scenery, friendly people, tasty seafood, and decent rooms, then Sportsman's Paradise is a keeper. I'd go back if I'm ever in that neck of the woods again.

I'm Going back in Nov. 09!!
By Richard Collins, 4/12/09
I had a wonderful time and caught a few nice Red Fish and Black Drum. The wind was blowing about 20 mph but our Cptn put us in a few good places and got really lucky. The rooms are small but you really don't need a lot in the room anyway. There are plenty of places to see and things to do, you really don't want to spend time in a room when you get there. The food was a little high, but you get what you pay for. I can't compare it to anywhere else cause i have not been anywhereelse. And i wont be goin anywhere else.

Loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/08
I thought it was a great place. The food is great and so is the service. I ended up catching the biggest fish. It was about two inches shorter then me and I'm 5'4". My family and I had a good time and thats pretty much all that really matters.

Do not go here.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/22/07
The rooms are like small jail cells. The food in the restaurant was ok but way too expensive. Our fishing guide was capt. Stu. I did not know that he was gonna try to catch all the fish and not help us out. i was not pleased with this place at all.
