El Dorado Hotel, Terlingua

Just got back from the Big Bend Country and was it great. Stayed at the El Dorado and let me tell you, Anna was a great host and took care of us up until the time we left. Room was clean and the food great. I would stay there again. Not fancy, but look where you are, out in the middle of nowhere.

well i tell you, this is real life! no frills no spills! i love the scenery, it can't be beat. the newer suites are nice, and after a long day in the desert, it's nice to get in the hot tub. this place is where you learn how to appreciate what you have at home! if you want to be pampered, don't go to deep west texas! but if you want a once in a lifetime experience, well the el dorado is the place. i personally love it, and always want to go back.

Hey city slickers, this sure aint no motel 6 like some may think above. Big bar, cold beer, in the middle of nowhere. I couldn't think off anything that i would change. Austin, dallas, are very far from this area, so the pampered type(see above user) need not even venture down to this country. If your from the city all i have to say is "HAHHAHA", you probably shouldnt be in west texas. I stay as many times a year as i can, and miss this country when im gone. The whole point of the west texas country is showcase nature and the wild west. Some just are not built for this country (again see above user). If you want to go back in time, staying here is as close as it gets. This is coming from a texas native, not some sissy boy, who's afraid of guns and lizards. Denny clagahn I'll see you there!!!

Very nice place. Very quiet and have beautiful scenery of Chisos Mountains. Stayed in Deluxe Suite very affordable. Enjoyed the spa tub. Spent hours in it :) Close to many historical sites. Within walking distance of many unique places. Loved it and would visit again. Only 30 miles from Big Bend National Park which was wonderful.
