Island Club Resort and Spa, Davenport

My family rented a unit from 12/06-8/07. The problems we had for the amount of money we paid was ridiculous. We had sewage backed up to the point that it was coming out our tubs and kitchen sink. We had to move out for a couple of weeks. We had leaks, insects, and other issues. Nothing was open: pool, club house, it was a complete run down. The security guards were a joke all they did was tried to talk to the young girls. Is this place even still open for business. When we were there home owners were taking over and it was no longer a resort. Just wondered if anything has changed for the better in a year?

The Island Club West is improving now by leaps. The owners have taken back their units from an unscrupulous property management and HOA that left the property in disrepair. The owner's are working hard now to improve the appearance of the resort; and the townhomes are now clean and pest free. We have recently hired a new board of directors and HOA. These units are definitely a great value now, as owners have lowered the prices here to draw business and add funds to keep improving our investment. As time goes on, you will see a resort that "SHINES". Owners that are renting out their own units are getting WONDERFUL reviews on their townhomes!!

is a large villa, comfortable,the balcony was dirty like nobody cleaned before.The pool area was dirty too. The restaurant,grocery,and pool bar was closed,i dont know what happened in this place. Is a good place but without maintenance.

They have changed the name three times from Island Club West to Island Club Resort & Spa to Island Hideaway. All owned by the same company, the name changes were simply an attempt to get away from the terrible reviews on the websites. This is not a resort, it is a rundown, filthy, bug infested (in the units), poorly constructed joke. Stay at your own risk. I do not recommend anyone waste their money on this establishment.
