I'll be we have stayed in over 20 properties in Las Vegas. This was tops! It worked so well for us that we are going back again soon. Away from all the hoopla, clean, safe, spacious, reasonable. Covers all the bases for lodging, and when we want spectacle we head off to the the sights. So nice not to have to walk through noisy casinos to get to your room.

Great place... except for the ants!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/4/06
This was my first stay at the Westgate. My firends and I were very impressed with the facilities. I would definitly return. It was clean, nicely appointed furniture and not to mention a great deal at that. There was a free chuttle service to and from the strip that ran, but only until a certain time at night. This was no good for us night hawks. This lead us to having to pay for cabs or make the lengthly walk back to our room. We did end up renting a car because of this. My only complaint was that there was a crazy amount of ants in our kitchen. Even though we complained there did not seem to be any rush in our concern to get rid of them. We spent 5 days with ants and on our last day they came and sprayed.

Lost Items

I didn't stay at this resort, but my parents did and my mom just told me about their experience. They said that it was a nice place, but they did have one major problem. When they got home, they realized that they had left some nice clothes in the closet. They called the hotel right away, but couldn't get anyone on the phone. The next day, they were told they would have to wait for the manager to call back. Nobody called, so my mom kept calling the hotel every day until finally she talked to the manager who said that the clothes weren't there anymore. It had been 4 days since they checked out and it was pretty obvious that housekeeping must have taken the clothes home. My parents were really upset and the manager said there was nothing she could do. She didn't offer them a free night stay or anything.

Nice place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/25/06
I own a timeshare at Flamingo Bay in Vegas. Great value for the price. The place is always clean, the grounds are beautiful. The pool, hot tub and fitness room are nice. Security makes you comfortable in a busy place. Shuttle buses take you to the strip. Nice place to rest in between all the casino visits.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/30/06
First I like to say that my family and I were impressed with it overall appearance ...the staff were very friendly and helpful. The made us feel welcome.Once we arrived to our room, we felt right at home.My husband and I had our own room and so did the kids compared to staying in a standard hotel were we are confined to one room(small quarter). All the amenities of being home. This was our best vacation trip to Las Vegas ever. Thanks Westgate for making our stay perfect.

Great Place
By Chris, 12/1/05
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the resort. The location was great. We had no worries from the noise and traffic on the strip. There is a transit bus stop near the resort that runs often. The cost is very cheap wheather you choose to ride all day or for the limited time. The resourt has a shuttle service that runs from 1:00Pm till 1:00Am which stops at three hotels on the strip for drop off and pickup. I recommend a rental car only if you plan to go to remote locations which are a little difficult to reach. The rooms are wonderful with one large tv in the livingroom and one large tv in the bedroom. The unit also had a washer, dryer, dishwasher, DVD player, radio, fireplace, safe, jacuzzi, and sofa bed. There is a 7 eleven and grocery store nearby. Our overall experience was very good and I would recommend the resort to others without hesitation.

Bad Experiences
By Carol, 8/2/05
Overall, my husband and I enjoyed our 5 day stay. We had reserved a 1 bedroom unit with a washer and dryer. Upon our arrival we requested a top floor unit (we based this request on what we had read on the web about lower floor units being subject to more noise). This request was accommodated. After depositing our luggage we immediately left to obtain groceries, etc. A few minutes after our return a Security Officer knocked on our door and said the guests below us had complained of noise. We found this interesting since we had only been in the unit 5-10 minutes. We could not find the washer and dryer in our unit. Calls to the front desk were made and we were repeatedly told they were there, just keep looking. After the second day we requested management view our unit. There were no washer/dryer to be found. We were supplied with laundry soap and told we could use the one in the Fitness Center across the property. The whirlpool tub was dirty at our check-in, dishwashing soap had to be requested as well as instruction on how to use the television/DVD player. These negative things were, however, outweighted by the privacy and conveniences of our unit. We liked being off the Strip (only about 5 min away). A rental car is recommended to see the area sights. We would not hesitate to return here. This is time-share property, but we booked through Expedia and were not subject to the sales pitch nor were we ever bothered.
