what a junk yard!

My wife & I stayed two nights in this hotel. As soon as we got there we changed our room twice before accepting the fact that it was a junk and took the third room. It is no where near a 5 star hotel, it service and offerings are 3rd class. The rooms were dirty, the taps and all metal objects were rusty, the bathroom drainage system was blocked, the floor was dirty and no one really had a clue of what service means, the hotel is situated in a area where there are no real shops and the only way to travel anywhere is to get a taxi from the hotel .e.g. To get to the train station they charge £70 (Egyptian) where as everyone else charge £20, it’s a rip off. I must say they have lovely gardens to walk thru but that’s about it as their breakfast is the same as every where else you go which in all fairness is good but that’s what you expect although you may have to get someone’s attention to get you some cutlery to begin eating your breakfast. It took one and a half day to get some one to have a look at the drainage problem when promised 10 minutes. The hotel claimed that the hotel is 5 minutes away from the pyramids but quite cleverly they did not mention in what type of transport this will take 5 minutes, I took a wild guess that it may be an aeroplane as a car took 15 minutes.
