Good location crappy service

The location is great. Just minutes away from water. Service is crappy and hostile. We couldn't sleep all night because the alarm that was set by the previous guest went off in the middle of the night. Later in the night people talking on the front lawn woke us up in the middle of the night. We asked the owners if they could let us stay a little longer (a couple of hours) to take a nap after 11:00 AM checkout and they were reluctant to do that or do any favors for that matter. The owner hostess got really angry and hostile with us and told us to get out. Also eating breakfast there wasn't a pleasant experience.

The Perfect Vacation Spot

We liked everything about the Ivy Inn. The room was spotlessly clean, and amazingly comfortable. The breakfasts were terrific every day. The owners were friendly, and helpful. Their porch is heaven. The location is a short walking distance from all the sites of Newport. It is tucked in a quiet residential section so you had peace at the end of the day. You will love this Inn.

Best B&B Yet

We very much enjoyed our stay at Ivy Lodge. It is well worth the price and is very comparable to Newport accommodations. Breakfasts were superb as well as cleanliness,location and friendliness.

Just Perfect

We just loved the Ivy Lodge. We stayed In November, The Suite was mesmerizing. The manager of this Inn/resort (darryl) was well versed and gregarious. He knew the right restaurants and got us a great table!The Breakfasts were unbelievable. I even got the phone number to their mattress purveyor! (best night sleep i've had in a while!) Perfect, perfect, perfect!! Right in the heart of the Mansion district. There is so much to do in this resort town!I cant wait to go back!!!

Perfect Inn, perfect setting!!!!

Let me start by saying that the owners/innkeepers are amongst the most gracious hosts that my husband and I have ever met. They never missed an opportunity to to give us helpful advice about local attractions, good restaurants. They really went out of their way to make sure that our stay in Newport was memorable. Secondly, I have to say that the Ivy Lodge is one of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed in. The inn is a large Victorian home located in the heart of the mansion district and surrounded by Newport's famous "cottages". We can't wait to go back!!
