Comfortable and affordable stay! I recommend it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/17/09
The room was very affordable. Be careful of the Days Inn also located in Winchester. We stayed there on our way up to our destination; not much difference in price from the Sleep Inn, but a complete contrast in room cleanliness, room comfortability and quality. The Sleep Inn will definitely be my choice in Winchester again. The beds were comfortable and for a family of four had plenty of space. The room was clean and the furnishings were new. There was an indoor pool, great for an 11 year old to excercise after a 8 hr car trip. Also the breakfast was nice, some hot items like eggs, sausage and waffles and many fruits, bagels and pastries. The staff was polite and recommended a great restaurant nearby for dinner. The location is convenient to shopping and restaurants and the highway. I was extremely pleased with our stay here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Winchester.

I'll never stay at Sleep Inn.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/27/08
I had a very bad experience with the manager, Fern Watson. I made reservations for my family reunion. The dates had be blocked off for Friday, July 25-Sunday, July 27. Called and made my reservation for two rooms. The person I spoke with acknowledged that the dates were blocked off. On June 28 recieved a letter from Fern Watson stating that since I didn't make my reservation I was billed for one night for each room for a total of $162.50. When I contacted the manager to let her know the mistake her compensation was that in July when I came for the reunion I wouldn't have to pay for the first night (either room), per the owner of Sleep Inn. Why would I pay? I had already paid for the first night. I called the headquarters and they said they couldn't do anything because each Sleep Inn is individually owned. All I have to say is stay at the Sleep Inn at your own risk. The incompetence of the staff is unbelievable. Needless to say my family and I did not make the reunion due to the aggravation of this situation. Never will I stay at any Sleep Inn! With the economy in the state that it is, loss jobs, high gas, etc. wouldn't you think that a hotel (service industry) would try to appease their customers? Thanks for nothing!

Frequent Guest There
By Hoomiester, 10/16/07
I travel to Winchester frequently doing some consulting work and this place is by far easy to get to and clean. It's also very quiet and located close to fast food, decent food and a small shopping center just across the street. The staff are very nice, greet you with a smile and deal with you as you want to be treated. I recommend it for I-81 and anyone needing a place to stay out of downtown and close to almost everything.

Service
Hello, My name is Connie Vance.I normally do not complain, but tonight I recieved a very disturbing call from Wayne Vance about how he was treated by the manager and another employee yesterday My husband has stayed in your establishment for over a year Mon. thru Thur. every week, About a year ago there was an issue with his debit card being charged daily when he wasn't there, so at that point he told them to take his information out of the system and he and his employee would pay cash, which he has done now for over a year. Yesterday the Manager and the gentleman working the desk followed my husband to his truck and told him that he has stayed 5 nights last week and only paid for four. My husband let her know that he had paid. The day in question was August 5, 2007. They told him he had not. They had no record of it. He explained that he had paid Loretta, and had told her that he knew she was busy, so she could give him the reciept later. Loretta thanked him at that point. Fern stated that he was lying and had not paid and that he could take his business elsewhere. Instead of checking to see if accounts recieved was over, she told him to go somewhere else and stay. Since then my husband has confirmed with Loretta that the account was over and that they accused him falsely. They never said they were sorry for the mistake nor did they appologize They have never even acknowledged him at all since this happen. I worked at the Greebrier Hotel for 20 years and know that things like this can really hurt your business if this is how the customer is treated. I feel that they owe him an appology and his employee Dennis Brown. Wayne is a Christian would not steal from you and tries to do what is right. He actually called and appologized to Fern for raising his voice. I know that she upset him and I cannot blame him. He could not believe how he was treated and neither can I. He would not like it if he knew I was doing this, but I will let you know that I will not stop here I intend on letting your corporate office know, because I do not feel that this is how a hotel should treat a long time customer. My husband is on the road weekly and needs to feel at home in a nice comfortable establishment. He just wants a clean bed and clean room. He is not loud and rowdy as some construction workers are. As I said he is a christian. I could call and Loretta, by the way a great gal, would give me Wayne's room as she knew who I talking aboutt . I have even called her to see if my husband has come in for the evening or is working late. It is sad that you have people that don't really value customer service .The customer is right, especially if you haven't even investgated the facts. My husband now has in hand for the night in question. So there you go. They owe him and Dennis an appology. The Ladies name is Fern Watson and the gentlemans name is Leslie Bissen.
