This hotel was hot. There was no air conditioning in the hallways. The elevators were scary and half the time not operating. It was a grose hotel and they should pay people to stay there, rather than us pay to stay there.

Pretty nasty. Lazy kids working. Looks like it is one family that runs it. They looks to be Iranian or something. Pool is just gross. They don't even take care of the place at all. Not a good choice to stay when in Padre. Many other nice places on the beach side. Will never even think about this motel again. Just flat gross.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had. We had gotten a "special" rate because we were with a wedding party. Then once we were there heard them offering room for $70, half of what we paid. The elevators were getting stuck with people in them or once you got in them they would not let you off until you were back on the floor you started. They did not close them and let children get on by themselves. When questioned front desk found out that elevators were out of inspection. NONE of the ice machines worked. The bathtub in my parent's room was stopped up and when they called down at 2 pm to tell the front desk were told that the plumber had gone home and they couldn't do anything. When we asked repeatedly to talk to the manager were given the run around and never did get to talk to them. Would never wish this place on anyone.

to start off i booked 20 plus rooms for my wedding guest and family in this hotel, they lost 4 reservations (which i believe there is more) then magically found them in the "old system" tried to charge guest and extra 20 $ to switch rooms because their air went out in the middle of the night and then picked on my grandmother who is blind to get out of her room which she was trying to do. The whole stay at the hotel was just horrible, the towels were dingy looking, we stayed 3 days and never got our room cleaned, the ceiling was falling down in our room, there was no air in the hall ways, the only reason that we stayed here was i had stayed there prior in 04 when it was quality inn and it was a very nice stay and the employees were nice. this time was the complete opposite and i was just completely shocked by the fact that they had no want to please their guest, it was just one problem after another. i would not recommend this place to anyone! spend the money on a more expensive hotel on the beach side. seriously it will be money well spend.

Well 1st of all i was there for 4th of July weekend the place was nice looking but manager Ralph was so rude. When i got there there was nobody in front desk this was the saturday july 4 2009 like @ 9pm i waited for like30 min then the manager ralph he said that he was the manager popped out of nowhere. I told him i was waiting for about 30min. and he didnt appologice just rolled his eyes and said too bad that he was busy doing something else important.We checked into our room and i needed extra towels so i called front desk and the same manager answered and told me i had to go down and get them myself. I was thinking oh my god what kind of manager makes the customers feel so uncomfortable especially when we come from far away for vacations to relax. So i went down and couldnt find him he was sitting on a sofa to the back talking on the cell phone i told him i came for the towels and he never looked at me kept on talking on his cell and just through the towels on top of the counter and i got them and left back to my rm. We paid $250 for the night to just be treated horribly by the manager. Well anyways the room, bar,continental breakfast were fine didnt have a problem just with Ralph the manager. I do reccomend for family,single,and couples to stay but just avoid beeing checked inn by the manager.

I didn't know which hotel I'd be staying at until after I booked. I was very nervous when I saw the hotel name (not well known) and reviews horrific reviews and found no pictures of the place until I searched online. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The room and bathroom were clean and HUGE. The view of the bridge and Laguna was spectacular, especially at night. The hotel was very close to Schlitterbahn and the main beach entrance. Great location. Continental breakfast was nothing special. Cold and cheap honey buns, danishes, bear claws, and toast. Luckily it was right across the street from both McDonald's and Denny's.

When we first arrived at the hotel we spent about 20 minutes waiting for the elevator, apparently it was stuck on the second floor. upon entering the room we noticed there was no remote to turn on the TV, when we called down stairs we were told there were no remotes to issue out. There was no shampoo and only two dingy towels in the room.We got up early for breakfast the next day to beat the rush only to find no syrup for the waffles , no donuts and they ran out of cereal.The only thing they had available for breakfast at 8:00am was coffee and milk.During my check out I asked to speak to the manager.I told him about our stay and his response was that the remotes always get misplaced my the customers , they have never carried shampoo and that the towels get stolen. He was quick to ask me to sign the $169.49 invoice but offered no empathy or apologies.If you want to enjoy your vacation DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

My wife and I stayed at the Bayview this past weekend with our young daughter. It was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. 1. The rooms were dirty, the a/c was loud and inefficient, the refrigerator in the room didn't work, and the whole place had a very bad smell to it... 2. The service was absolutely terrible. Hotel staff was rude and unresponsive to the most simple of requests (such as fixing our refrigerator or investigating the foul smell) 3. The value was incredibly bad. We spent over $200 per night during a holiday weekend. We could have gotten the same rate at the Sheridan and had a much better experience. 4. The location is not a good one. I normally enjoy being on the bay side, but only if there is a decent pool on hand... The pool at this hotel wasn't cleaned all weekend and pool side chairs floated around continuously. In closing and after considering my 20 year history on the island, I can say without doubt that the Bayview Hotel is the worst hotel on the island. Stay away from it if you are at all possible.

2005:everyhting was fine the room, the location, but when i made reservations, the person making the reservations didn't get my info correct, and reserved the room for one day only! it was awful being called up the next morning to get ready to check out, when i had reserved for 2 days it was fubby though i got all my info read back to me n some how that day the info didnt match... the manager on duty that day wasn't of great help, n noone else new who had made the reservation... it was awful i knew i should of done my part in takin any info down, but i really thought they;re wouldn't be any inconvinience.. the manger also promised not to forget ma name for another stay perhaps, to give us a small dicount or some accoumindation and when i called back again another time, noone new who i was..lol "go figure".... well the hotel was awesome and the view , n room service.i was really looking forward to my two nite stay instead i got one night. we are thinking of goin back there maybe service would be better now, but we are very hesitant.. thank u for ur time... r.j rocha

NEVER STAY HERE! The minute I got there I was treated rudely and the staff was incoherent and could not explain anything. I stayed here 5 nights and the maids only came once. The room smelled like mold and the sheets and towels looked disguisting when we checked in. They incorrectly charged $100 to my account because they said I broke the toilet, but when I checked out the toilet was not broken. When i called to get a refund I was left on hold, never called back when I left a message and convenently told that the manager was not there even when another staff member said he would be there during that time period. It took 2 weeks for them to say they would give me a refund... and now 2 weeks later i still don't have my money... and now when I call back the manager is convenently not there again... its infuriating! NEVER EVER STAY HERE!
