best value in the area

I have had occasion to stay in the Fishkill area several times in the past few months, and have stayed at most of the hotels. The Hilton Garden Inn is the only one I have returned to multiple times. It is easy on and off I-84, and rooms have either 2 queens or 1 king bed. You can plug in your laptop, and print to the printer off the lobby, or access the business center 24/7 with your room key. Every staff member I have encountered has been friendly and upbeat - clear evidence of a true service-driven culture. The lobby and rooms have the feel of a full service hotel, even though if you want extra pillows at midnight, you have to go to the desk because the housekeeping staff has gone home. The fridge and microwave are great standard amenities, and there is a 24 hour "pantry" in the lobby to get toiletries, a snack, or even a frozen tv dinner. The full breakfast is well worth the $8.95, or $5 if you pre-pay, as you can get omelettes, pancakes and french toast to order, in addition to their ample buffet. It's next to Ruby Tuesday's, and they have a contract with a local restaurant for room service. Plus Walmart is a stone's throw away. I will reserve here first when I am in the area, and look for a Hilton Garden Inn wherever I travel.
