Panorama Century Court, Shanghai

The hotel is 5 minute walk from the start of the Bund and 10 minutes from the start of the Nanjing Rd shopping area; it is quiet, with friendly staff and if you pay for a room with a view of the Bund and river you will never forget the astonishing Shanghai skyline, constant river traffic (barges, ships etc.) and city lights at night all visible from your room. It is not shiny 5 star standard but good value. I only ate breakfast there and it was fine - again great view from the top floor restaurant. You can open your room windows too so you don't have to always have the air conditioning on.
