Silver Cloud Inn, Tacoma

I have to agree with all the other posts, the view was amazing. But not worth the money that I spent. The train I have to say was not what I wanted to wake up to at 4am. I left the windows open to take in what I thought would be fresh air, but rather an unpleasant smell coming in. Parking wasn't bad if you were driving a small vehicle, but would rather not shoe horn my suv between a car and a concrete pillar. Breakfast in the morning was faily good, very busy, limited seating. Just wasn't what I would expect for what I paid. Pretty disappionted.

The location is wonderful! The feeling of waking up looking out onto the water is so relaxing. The staff is great, very helpful. The beds are comfortable. Nothing bad to say. Read reviews about trains but you can't even hear them and they don't go by that often. I stayed downtown one time before I found the Silver Cloud and all I can say, I will never stay downtown again. This place was 100% better than any other hotel in this area. Loved it!

The rooms are big and very clean. The Front Desk staff was amazingly nice! They cater to your needs and make sure your stay is special. The prices seem high but are well worth it! I plan to stay here again.

A beautiful place to spend a romantic evening! Water view, tub, clean, quiet, and so close to home yet it feels like you are on a vacation.

Great get-away! Relaxed the whole time I was here, hate to leave. The service is very friendly, as well as housekeepers. As far as noice is concerned, you get used to the railroads passing, kind of relaxing after a while. Great place to stay, will do it again!

Great location with amazing views. Little noisy from the railroad but counterbalanced by provided earplugs. Very convenient. Not as clean as it was six months ago - housekeeping seemed less well organized. Sheets need replacing - old but clean. Limited breakfast choices but easy access along the waterfront to restaurants. Unhappy about way manager spoke to employees - made us a little uncomfortable - however, charming to guests. Would probably go back - views overode everything else.

My new husband and I were looking for some place special to spend on our honeymoon. The Tacoma Sheraton recommended this place and we got a discount as honeymooners. The view was incredible. The room was a very romantic spot with a corner jacuzzi tub and a wonderful fireplace. Only quible is the current prices are really high.

The rooms are clean and well kept, staff is friendly and breakfast was something to look forward to. View is great from the end of the pier. Only wish the train didn't have to announce itself every time it passed by.

The hotel has an amazing view, excellent services and amenities (paid laundry, small gym, parking). Staff caters to your needs and are quite friendly!
