Hummingbird Hotel, Lake Worth

Bed bugs, I don't particularly like bed bugs. Brough them home and now thats more money I have to spend getting rid of them...to high of a price don't make the mistake I made.

As a mother of two young children, I expect the hotels I stay in to maintain certain standards. The Hummingbird Hotel exceeded my expectations on all levels. The rooms were beautifully decorated and kept impeccably clean. The staff was more than accommodating. The location of the Hummingbird Hotel is excellent, as well. It is located in the heart of downtown Lake Worth. We were walking distance from the beach and parks, as well as an amazing assortment of shops and restaurants. We were all thrilled with our stay! I can't wait to return in a few months. This will definitely be the place I bring my family for future visits to Lake Worth, FL.

I was invited to my best friends wedding in a Palm Beach hotel. The place was beautiful, but very expensive. I felt embarrassed to tell my friend that I couldn’t afford to stay there. I searched the internet for affordable accommodations in the Palm Beach area, and to my delight I found the Historic Hummingbird Hotel in Lake Worth, Florida. It was inexpensive, warm, and delightfully friendly. I had the best time of my life. I met new friends from Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and Japan. I extended my time from two to ten days. We went to the independent film theatre, the play house, restaurants, the BEACH, and the night life; “Amazing!” All the major attractions in Florida are within easy driving from the Hummingbird hotel. This place is a priceless Gem for me. This is our third visit to LW. And guess what? My best friend, Kat and her husband now have a new favorite place at the Hummingbird Hotel. This is the budget travelers’ paradise.

I inspected the hotel for future travelers and found the staff to be friendly and the rooms to be pleasantly furnished and accomodating. The hotel is historic which gives it a special flavor of uniqueness. The hotel is located in the heart of Lake Worth - within immediate walking distance to shops, restaurants and parks. The beach is about a one mile walk.This hidden gem is worth visiting if you are looking for budget accommodation in West Palm Beach region! Recently purchased and being lovingly restored by Winston, my room was a double with a new unbelievably comfortable bed, private bath, TV that worked, crisp linens and thick, fluffy new towels. This is not a cookie cutter hotel - it is being restored in the tradition of the era in which it was built - 1920s! Kitsch galore, lovely vintage furniture, small and simple rooms, artwork and old world charm. Also available, singles with shared bathrooms for true budget travelers! Availability of the kitchen to cook and share life stories and food with Winston and his wonderful mother made this a home I will return to and will not hesitate to recommend to others. If you are looking for bright and shiny - this is not it. If you are looking for warm and personal, you have found it!

I loved this hotel. The Manager (Winston) is the nicest gentle helpful person i have ever met. I fell in love with him. The staff was respectful. Lake Worth is a very nice destination. The beach is walking distance away. A wide variety of cultural restraunts all over. I cant wait to go back.

This B&B is so nice. People were so nice and kind. I visited only me but I didn't feel alone. The room was clean and cute and also location was garet. 15min work from the Try-rail station, close from the airport. There are a lot of restrauant and shop around the hotel. 20min working to the beach. The beach was beautiful too. You should visit this hotel.

The Hummingbird hotel was the most pleasant hotel that I ever stayed at during an overseas visit. The room was very beautiful, and the staff members were very nice. The hotel is one of the "Best Buys" hotels that one can find in Palm Beach County.

My children and I visited family on a weekend reunion and opted to stay at the Hummingbird B&B located right in the heart of downtown Lake Worth. Not only was the staff friendly, they were very helpful with dining and entertainment for both me and the kids. The kids especially loved the puppet show on Lake Avenue. Would diffently be back for a stay,

I was pleasantly surprised to find this quaint hotel in downtown Lake Worth. From what I was told it has new ownership. The guest services were great. The building was built in 1921 and there are nice antiques in the lobby. It is a cute little afffordable hotel in a great location close to everything.
