La Casa Verde de Amon, San Jose

We liked the friendly service. Mr. Stanley, the owner, was a great ambassador for CR and did an excellent job on the restoration. We had the bridal suite(it wasn't our honeymoon). It was roomy, comfortable and very romantic. The location was great; close to central San Jose, eating and shopping. There was an excellent cigar shop nearby, as well as close parking. We only saw one hooker while out for an evening stroll; I guess that's a plus for most people. We're returning to CR Feb '08 and hope to stay again if our schedule allows. It was a great value and allows one to interact with other travellors. We liked it a lot.
