Just finished our Hawaiian vacation, we enjoyed staying at Paniolo Greens, a very nice room for a good price.

Pleasantly surprised!
By Nancy D, 11/27/09
Just got back from Hawaii, where we stayed at Paniolo Greens our first 6 nights there and were very impressed. Upon check-in the staff were very friendly, and when we got to our room I couldn't believe our good luck. Two-story condo, fully equipped and furnished...washer/dryer...very spacious, clean and welcoming, and what a DEAL! The price is definitely right and I would recommend this place to anyone staying on the Big Island. We plan to go back someday and definitely want to say at PG again! Maholo!!

Loved this place! Great quality for the money.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/10/09
Great price for Hawai'i and I felt like more of a local by not being in the usual beach resorts. The beach was only a short drive and one at Waikoloa, the Anaeho'omalu Bay was my favorite. Nice and shallow for us chicken swimmers in our inner tubes. My place was so spacious and I enjoyed seeing the wild goats and turkeys out my window. It was so clean and new, I felt like the first guest ever. I liked all of the plates and cookware. I highly recommend this with the caveat that I was in the newly refurbished rooms (building H). Also, they offer a breakfast room rate for an extra $30+ a day for a one time grocery run of eggs, cheese, etc. Skip it and just drive up the street a little and get all of your own groceries at your average Hawai'ian prices.

Too far away from city
By PATTY, 6/15/09
The room was clean and had a great view of the golf course. If you like to play golf or swim in the pool, it's a great place to stay. The down side is that it is 30 minutes from Kona. We were not aware that it was in the middle of nowhere and there were no restaurants nearby. It is not convenient to sight seeing. We checked in late at night and realized when we got to our room that there were no privacy blinds in the bedroom. We called the office the next day and they didn't know it, but did send housekeeping over to install some. We were promised a breakfast grocery package when booking, but never received it. You have to pay extra each night for the air conditioner. It is a Shell Property and they will try to sell you a timeshare.

First visit
By Ms. Gift of Thrift, 5/26/09
Spent a week at Paniolo Greens with 3 others. Great location if you like to be away from crowds. Very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and any housekeeping needs we had were answered within minutes. The local scenery is awesome and even though this is not an ocean-front location, there are a number of beaches nearby and you can walk to the grocery store. I highly recommend this property! Wish I was still there!

Thumbs Up!
By Susie, 4/20/09
Our 1st Hawaiian vacation and it was amazing. The staff, accomodations and even the turkeys were wonderful. We traveled with our two children 11 & 8 and they always had something fun to do. We went to a diffrent beach everyday and in less than 7 hours drove around the entire island. There are several black sand beaches and one green sand beach. Don't miss out on the water falls several in the north part of the island and in Hilo. The turtles only beach when the sun is out but are very fun to swim with. The resort is tranquil and just what we needed. Thanks for everything, we will be returning next year. The Ponce's

Third visit, Great Vacation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/7/06
Well, we did go back between May 21 and June 4th and had a fabulous vacation. Accommodation was great, much cleaner that past visit, lots of room for two couples, had a unit across from the room, ground floor and steps away from the barbacue. The fridge was not cold enough, called for a repair, the fridge was replaced within one hour! Housekeeping staff great. Good supply of beach towels. The dryer could be better. Buy your drinking water. Pool is very nice and only busy with families early morning. GREAT LOCATION. Check out all the beaches you can reach within 20 minutes. In the check-in office is FREE INTERNET useable in fifteen minute blocks!! Office staff were helpful and very pleasant. Good work Paniolo Greens. See you again in four years.

Looking forward to our next stay in May
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/4/06
We have had two stays here, the last being four years ago. Both visit were comfortable, although they could improve on the cleanliness and do some painting. I hope this has been updated so I can give them higher ratings. We found the location fine. Hapunna Beach is great and only 8 minutes away. Close to grocery shopping, restaurants, medical attention if needed. Housekeeping responding within minutes if needed. The pool is small, but we never found it busy. Our only complaint was that the water was too cold. We took many day trips and explored the entire island without needing a stay over somewhere else. Hopefully, we will have a great two weeks in May 2006.
