I can't wait to go back!!!
By Jerwyn, 4/27/09
I like the location, i like the view in my room (room # 1012) 10th flr, i like the food -breakfast although the meal is always the same but i like it, i like the way they accomodate their customers, i like my room (looks as is..) ,I like the hotel's pool....DISLIKE: the bathroom door can't close.. i mean can't lock; the room is mall but it doesnt matter still its nice; wet floor (bathroom); sometimes we cant regulate the water (hot/warm) in the shower / faucet. But in general i can rank the hotel 8.5 out of 10, Meaning to say i like the hotel (jj from Manila, Philippines)

Waste of money
By Tina, 5/11/08
I booked two connecting rooms for my family to stay in Singapore at Robertson Quay Hotel on 30 April 2008. When we came here, all of us are disappointed at the venue as it's dirty and noisy outside. And when coming to our room, it's really disgusting to see the 2 rooms are separated, inside, there are 2 small and petite beds, the room is dirty with a small toilet enough for one person standing..! We have to check out within 5 minutes (of course we have to pay for one night) to look for another hotel. At the check out counter, we saw a small warning notice of "criminal face" on the wall at the receptionist counter, in which we again believe that our decision of leaving that terrible hotel is correct. It's not worth of trying and the quality is so cheap and so low compared to the rate you have to buy. We also book a family at the resort of the same owner of this hotel, naming Siloso Beach Resort in Sentosa Island (advertising together with Robertson Hotel) and again are very disappointed at the hotel room which look exactly like an army camp. Dirty and smelly corridor and lifts, the pub next door will keep you awake until 3.00 in the morning every night. So if you do not want to spoil your holidays, stay away from these hotels to avoid the troublesome we had to face Tina

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/20/07
I have once made an online reservation but have to cancel the booking as my leave requisition was rejected. I sent an email to Robertson Quay Hotel and was surprised that they feedback to me within 5 minutes. Thumbs up for their good service and fast response!!!!

Robertson Quay rips customers off
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/07
I made a reservation but cancelled one of the days in person at their front desk several days in advance. They did not process the cancelation properly and charged my credit card for a no show. The manager argues with customers and will not refund my money. Hotels like this don't deserve to be in business - stay away.

Will never go back!
By jenn, 5/25/07
Let me tell you right now, I intially booked for five days...Hotel was clean, but very old and smelled musty. Hotel staff was very understanding when I told them immediately I was checking out. Some friends and I stayed a night in the same room, and ate the breakfast there. I guess this place is good for someone who doesnt mind staying in a 2 star hotel..thats exactly what it is, nothing special. Will never stay there again!

Robertson Quay May 2006
By Krista, 10/6/06
This hotel was under rennovation when we stayed there, and the rooms are very tiny. Internet connection was also very expensive. Not a 3 star hotel, maybe 2. The place is warn, and the men at the front desk were a little curt, but we felt safe, and after an exhausting day anyone can fall asleep, regardless of what the rooms look like! A good deal for the price, especially in Singapore (expensive!!) Also located along the river, which really lights up and comes alive at night.

Compact room
By Sammie, 5/3/06
We booked the room for one night back in February 2006, but did not stay as my husband couldn't stand the feel of being in such a small room. The room was super compact in size, including the shower room (no bathtub but does have a commode in the small shower room), and reasonably clean. It has all the basics - liquid bath soap in a wall-mount soap dispenser, clean towels, TV, and clean sheets. Good value for the location, with many restaurants and bars around the hotel.

Very Good Hotel to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/14/06
Location is good near China Town Also near shopping centers and Bus stop to go to Orchid road for shopping. And near food shops along the river with delicius food and night live. Boats to travel on the river. It's a real good place to stay.

not too far from the bar’s and clubs there, nightly live party
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/11/05
Robertson Quay Hotel situated alongside the Singapore River and near to Clarke Quay is ideal for those budget travellers simply looking for a clean bed for a couple of nights. The location of the hotel is great, not too far from the bar’s and clubs there, nightly live party (walk away from the hotel not over 5 minute). Each room does have an attached shower but it sprays over the toilet and sink, leaving a wet floor for the next person. All rooms do have a small TV, not normally found in this type of hotel. Most rooms do have excellent city views due to the buildings rotund design, the hotel plans to add bay windows during mid 2005 thus adding a window seat. Whilst the nearest MRT (Clarke Quay) is a 15 minute walk away. A good hotel that is small in everyway, except the high ceiling of the lobby come breakfast bar...

great place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/29/05
Don't know why this hotel is under-rated. Spent three weeks travelling Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia and used Singapore and this hotel as our base. The service was fantastic and rooms are clean. The rooms are very small, however, the private bath is excellent if you have travelled through Asia at all - this is a plus. The pool is great along with the view. Since we were travelling all over...the hotel also let us store our extra luggage at no charge and items were secure. Close to walking to the Quay and subway. Great hotel, great staff and can't say anything more about the place....try it...you'll like it.
