Spruce Grove Cabins & Suites, South Lake Tahoe

The people who run Spruce Grove Cabins are rude and disrespectful. They ruined my 21st birthday. I had a miserable time dealing with these people and I wouldnt return there if someone paid me. They ruined my one and only trip to to Tahoe. Now I never care to return. Plus it was way over priced for the space you were given. And the cabins were not very clean.

My husband and I wanted to spend a few days on vacation with our two dogs but were having a hard time finding anyplace that allowed more than one dog or that didn't have a weight/size restriction. We decided to try Spruce Grove and were pleasantly surprised with how clean our cabin was(we stayed in the Prospector), with how friendly the staff was, and how pet friendly the place is. It is completely enclosed by a fence, so dogs are free to run around the grounds off leash (as long as they are supervised, of course.) I would highly recommend this place for those looking for a place to stay with their pets. It is reasonably priced, and their daily pet fee can't be beat.

We were looking for something PET FRIENDLY to stay in the South Shore Tahoe area where friends had already booked a house for the Thanksgiving weekend. Then we happened upon the website for Spruce Grove Cabins. Liked the photos of the grounds. Called & received friendly service in making our reservation. We found this place to be a very good value. We had rented a very small cabin elsewhere in South Shore last year & were charged a lot more money for much less of a place. Spruce Grove is a quaint, small, fully-fenced resort. Our cabin was a little funky yes (what isn't in the Tahope area unless you stay at a fancy hotel WHO WON'T TAKE EVEN SMALL PETS?) but clean & quiet & very spacious for the price. It was a really good FIND for us. The best part is the location because you can walk right down to the big 4th of July celebration & fireworks display. We will go back to Spruce Grove. I am calling them today to make our 2008 4th of July reservations. Our friends that booked the house in South Shore last year when we stayed at Spruce Grove are switching to Spruce Grove this year for the 4th of July & already have it booked.

This place has cockroaches, rats, it was digusting. I had to go to the doctor's afterwards because of the poor hygiene of the cabin. The people who run the cabin are very rude and they watch you through the windows when you're sleeping. I was scared for my life.

The people who run the cabin are immature and will probably kick you out for no apparent reason at all. They have rats too. The service was horrible. The cabins were dirty. It's too expensive for how little the space is.

My Husband and I took our dogs to Spruce Grove Resort for the first time earlier this year and it's the best pet friendly resort to stay in! Our dogs ran around the property because it's enclosed and had so much fun! The cabins are cozy. There are 1 and 2 bedroom cabins and they each have gas fireplaces. The resort is down the street from the Lake and close to shopping. The managers are really nice and want to make sure your time at Spruce grove is comfortable and fun. If you want to pay a little less, go during the months of April and May when they have specials. I would definitely recommend this place!
