A Perfect Cabo Experience
My husband and I chose Los Milagros Hotel in Cabo San Lucas for a recent stay. We were pleasantly surprised and the beautiful little hotel provided a lush respite from the city life, yet it is only a couple minute walk to the yacht harbor and the famous night life, restaurants and flea markets and shops of Cabo. Owner Sandra tends daily to her garden of bougainvillea and pomegranates, weaving vines and cactus. Fresh mounds of local bananas were ripening on the patio, just being cut from a tree. Calming water cascades from the fountain and the lapis pool provided a cool and private retreat from the hot afternoons. A spicy incense and soft music set the stage for each day. The hotel is quaint, comfortable and affordable, with local flair, and offers modest rooms and comfortable beds. Our unit included a kitchenette. We purchased delicious Mexican coffee (for a quarter of the price of ground Starbucks, Mexican cheeses and oranges from the local market and had fresh boleos from the local market to eat in the garden prior to starting our day. Owner, Sandra ensured that our very need was met . One of the gems of her knowledge included Restaurant Las Missions we also highly recommend.. The restaurant bar was built from a fishermans cottage and the restaurant provides only a few tables under a palapa roof, complete with a dirt floor. Los Milagros and Las Missiones were exceptionally romantic, and gives the traveler an opportunity to experience a more traditionally cultural taste of Mexico, then do many of the large resorts. The restaurants Israel prepared fresh seabass with Mexican garlic sauce that was out of this world and a ceviche that has been unmatched in our travels.
