This European style hotel offers a quiet retreat just outside the city of Napa, in Calistoga. The inn, like most European hotels boasts shared bathroom accommodations; each room has a private sink but showers and restrooms are shared. Rooms are modest and simple. A continental breakfast of fresh baked breads, coffee and fruit is served. A weekend brunch is offered for an additional charge. The inn's restaurant, Calistoga Inn Restaurant & Brewery, is heavy on flavor and vivacity. Providing shelter and comfort, the Calistoga Inn is a clandestine gem in Wine Country.

Good food, but don't spend the night!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/06
The restaurant and bar are certainly a popular spot in Calistoga. But don't be fooled by the Inn's hotel and B&B listings on the Internet. The accommodations are nothing more than rooms above the bar. They're noisy, sparse and during our stay on 10/1/06 another patron tried to break into our room while two others were sent to the hospital with injuries sustained at the Inn. Don't count on a good night's sleep here!!

It takes a lot of good beer to make good wine
By Keith, 06/18/06
The Calistoga Inn has it all: fine dining out on the patio right on the Calistoga River, a great wine list, fabulous beer made right on the premises, live music many nights a week, and great food! There are even some quaint rooms in the upstairs. The Inn is definitely worth a visit!

A truly unique experience
By Livermore, 03/21/06
A good place to take in the true Calistoga experience! After a day of wine tasting, a room with a comfortable bed and no TV is kind of nice. I expected typical bewery food, but we were pleasantly suprised by an excellent restaurant down stairs! Food was on par with any other restaurant you would find. A bit of a drag to shar the pottie, but no big deal. Enough wine, and we slept though the band downstairs!

If you're looking to relax, this is not the place to go!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/06
When looking for a Bed and Breakfast, we were recommended this place as being quaint and quiet. It was a totally different story when we arrived. There is a restaurant and bar underneath our room and we were told that it stays relatively quiet and that the bar closes at midnight. What actually happened was the bar stayed open way past midnight and the people next to us were up partying until 4:00 a.m. so we didn't get any sleep! When we approached the person at the front desk about this matter, they just told us that they have a disclaimer about noise. PLEASE! I think a hotel should have respect for all guests and not advertise that it's a quaint place when it really is a glorified dormitory. The bathrooms were not clean and you do have to share with everyone. I generally don't mind this but it could have been cleaner. This was one of the worst experiences we've have in our travels and won't be back again. However, if you're young and like to stay up all night, this is the place to be! Jackie Holzhauer

BIGTIME Second to noisy and rude
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/06
When booking, we were lead to believe that the place operated as a bed and breakfast. There was mention of the community bathrooms, which was fine, but not the noise. They said there was no live music that weekend. HA !! There was a bunch of kids playing *rap music 'til after 1 then partying and such in the rooms until 3:30 or 4:00. The desk responded snottily to our courteous report with "We have a disclaimer" and "We'll put you on the list of people we won't have back" Rooms are only suitable for 20-something drunkards.

An incomparable experience
By Rob in CM, 05/16/05
I love the Calistoga Inn! It is a small Inn over a top-quality restaurant and bar, with a brewery attached. The only downside would be the noise from the kitchen if you are in one of the rooms directly over it. The bathrooms are shared, but the rooms are spotless - with no phones, no televisions, and extremely comfortable beds and a fantastic ambience. The location is absolutely perfect - right in the heart of Calistoga. I have stayed here three times, and it is the perfect spot for basing a wine-tasting trip. The restaurant is amazing and the service is great. The continental breakfast of fruit and freshly baked breads is really very, very good. This is not a luxury hotel, but a charming an intimate place to stay where you feel like family and enjoy very comfortable rooms.
