Room smells like a convalescent Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/5/10
STINKY Everywhere was booked for the big ducks game so we unfortunately ended up here. We were on a road trip and not here for the game. It was way over priced for what we got due to the demand for rooms during duck season. The rooms worth $60-70 but we paid $150 for the stinky dump. The room smelled so bad when we entered. I wearily walked over to the bed and pulled the dated blanket off and inhaled a good strong stench. Did somebody die in here? It smelled of urine, old man in a nursing home ,mixed with stale cigarettes and wet dog. We aired the place out even though it was freezing and raining outside. I ripped off the foul blankets and brought my own in from the car. We decided just to pass out knowing it was just for one night and we were so tired and will never have to stay here again.. Unfortunately on the nearby balcony a gaggle of drunk duck fans partied all night and kept us up all night. All I can say is STINKY mildewy old man urine smell.

Great Place to Stay

Great place to stay, clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay. Convenient to downtown and affordable. When we return to Eugene next year we will definitely make reservations at the Campus Inn.

National Lampoon Eugene Christmas
By TD, 1/2/08
I specifically chose this property because it had high ratings here. After my experience, I can only conclude the high ratings came from employees and family members. 1. Few cars in the lot when I arrived; it didn't look like much more than 20% occupancy. 2. Checked in, given my room card key and drove to the other side of the property. 3. Approached the room, noticed a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. Hmmm. Maids must have forgotten it. 4. Put my card key in the door lock, opened the door and was greeted by a guy jumping out of bed probably a little more surprised than me. 5. Back to the office, asked for an unoccupied room. Clerk kept apologizing with a mumble about "computer error". After the 4th apology, I suggested she might want to check on the guy who was intruded-upon as a result of her "computer error". 6. For my trouble, I was up-graded and given another room. I entered that room, unpacked and tried to turn on the lamps beside the bed. Oops. No power or burned-out bulbs. In the course of checking to see if they were plugged in, I discovered a broken outlet cover. Hmmm. 7. After the clerk couldn't (a) locate the on-site repair person or (b) make the lamps work on her own, I was given the 3rd room..... 8. Which had a broken refrigerator (when I opened it to place items within, I was greeted with a puddle of water and unpleasant smell) and a broken heater (actually the control knob was broken -- I got it to work, but couldn't get it to maintain a consistent temperature). This property is long past its prime. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. R

A Eugene Hotel with outstanding service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/07
The Location of the hotel is right down town in walking distance of restaurants and shops. It is a great place to stay and the hosts are well informed on the area. I have recommended this hotel to many friends and business associates.

Great garden! Great locale!
By Jill, 7/10/07
This was a quaint little place right across from campus. We were able to walk to everything - food, entertainment, just out for a stroll. Their garden out front is fantastic and the pool is fun. The room was spacious and clean and the front desk clerk directed us to the most adorable Italian place!

Nice clean room. Enjoyed being able to walk downtown. Staff was very friendly, and the rate was reasonable. Very basic room for a business or casual visit to downtown Eugene.

My son and I stayed here one night while attending the Prefontaine Classic. The room was huge! Very Clean. Very accomodating staff. If ever in area again, we'll re-visit.

Great place. Friendly People
By Grumpyoldman, 8/15/05
This little Hotel is truly a find. The staff is friendly and informative. Rooms are nice and clean. I stayed for months with absolutely no bad experience. When I worked night shift the maintenance personnel actually adjusted their schedule to allow me to sleep during the day. Many thanks to the staff for a pleasant stay. I'll be back!
