Description

This hotel is located two doors down from a small police station, which could be a mark against it or in its favor, depending on your outlook. In general, the area appears to be quite safe, although the constant flow of traffic outside makes it a bit loud. The hotel is absolutely charming once you get on the grounds. It is nicely landscaped and very quaint. Rooms are comfortable and homey, if a bit worn. Shopping, attractions and dining are just a five-minute walk down Bay Street.

run from this place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/7/09
we stayed here from England for 1 day and went straight to the Hilton. This hotel is nasty and the workers too. There is a lot of prostitution going on and some weird business in the parking lot. Stay away.

Can't wait to go back!!!
By water fan, 3/28/08
We absolutely LOVED our stay at El Greco this past summer. The staff was so friendly and the facility was perfect. The location couldn't have been better and the room was a welcome to come home to each night. Our experience was nothing less than positive. I cannot imagine what another reviewer experienced, but it seemed more like a personal vendetta than an actual visit to this lovely hotel. We plan on going back again this summer and can't wait to see Terry and the other friendly and helpful staff!

RUN FROM THESE PLACE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/07
IT WAS VERY NICE BEFORE Mrs Calliope passaway. She was the owner of the Hotel and a wonderful old lady, she used to smoke her cigarette with me and talk alot to me. I am a business woman working for Fox news. After the passing of Mrs Calliope has not been the same anymore, her husband that was in Greece came and together with the 2 sons that she was always crying that they never used to see her , he fired the son Theo that was always there with the mom and put him in the street. Very bad man and also the hotel is a mess. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL ANYMORE , I WAS VERY ANGRY TO SEE WHAT THEY DID TO THEO AFTER THE PASSING OF MRS CALLIOPE. RUN FROM HERE THIS PEOPLE NOW ARE VERY BAD. THERESA , FOX NEWS STAFF

Great Little Boutique Hotel !!
By Sheila, 1/14/07
We stayed at El Greco in January 2007. This little boutique Hotel is a great value for the price. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The price of $120/night included unlimited use of the internet and unlimited local and long distance calls to US and Canada. This can't be beat! The hotel offers complimentary breakfast which was a bonus. The pool was also very clean and refreshing. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely go back! It is also within 5 minute walking distance to downtown Nassau and dining and shopping areas. The hotel is also right across the street from the beach. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay. We highly recommend it.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/6/06
Location to downtown Bay Street ideal, still small and safe. Not Expensive and very clean. I was there during hospitlization of my husband, and the staff was very carting.
