Quaint, Quiet and Colorful

We stayed at the Tahoe Vista portion of Rustic Cabins in the Rubicon cabin. The small cabin is not plush but it had everything we needed. The wrought iron bed from Benecia Foundry was beautiful and utterly comfortable. There was sufficient storage in the bedroom and the bathroom was enormous. The kitchen is tiny, but it was stocked with plates, wine glasses, cooking utensils, pots, pans and silverware. The adirondack chairs in the little front yard and the barbeque are great additions. There is a lower and upper lawn area for lounging, reading, or enjoying a little swing while watching the wildlife. The cabins are right across from the lake and we could see it from our front door. The location can't be beat. If you want a posh resort, this isn't it -- if you want rustic, cute, and a tasty free hot waffle breakfast, this is your place!
