Or as I discovered once constrained within the aircraft - possibly coming straight back to Wellington! Auckland was apparently shrouded in fog and nothing was landing up there. The super enthusiastic flight attendant was happily telling us we'd circle Auckland a few times and then return to Welly if we couldn't land. The flight gods were kind today, the fog lifted as we approached Auckland and I will be on this afternoon's flight to Bangkok and on to London. We left Detroit Friday at 4pm, arrived in Amsterdam at 8am, but missed our connection flight and had to wait another 5 hours before we finally flew to Barcelona. Not fun! The good news is that Bob's parents and I got to fly Business Class to Barcelona.
