Arrived in Quito. Met Helena, my roommate, who is from S. Hampton, UK. Had dinner with Helena and Rebecca, from London at this fantastic eclectic restaurant. Took a public bus to the Amazon. A really fat, sweaty guy, very smelly, was leaning against me the whole way. Stayed with a Quichua family. Swam in the river. No electriciy, no hot water, slept in room with Helena, Simone and Keitha. Hiked up waterfall, napped in hammocks. Taught Delphin's son and daughter how to play blacjack. They taught me the game "40". We played for matches. Show Less
