We left Lexington on time and had a nice trip to Charlottesville, Va. The Monticello took us a bit longer than we had planned, but it was well worth it. Admission was $15.00 and it included three tours. The home, the gardens and the slave tours. We did the first two. The garden tour was great as there were many varieties of plants, flowers, trees, and vegtables. The cherries were ripe, but all thast could be reached from the ground were already picked.
