Packed seven bodies into the minivan - me, my wife, my three kids and my parents - and started our journey East towards the Nation's Capitol at 8:30am. We chose to leave the day before Thanksgiving so that we could make it a leisurely trip and not have to worry about arriving in time for a nice dinner. Great decision! Not only did it make the trip stress-free, but it also gave us an extra day in DC, which we could not have done without.
