6/3/10 - Made reservation at the HIE in Lititz for 3 nights starting 6/17, as work schedule has been rough. 6/14/10 - Modified reservation as would get there too late to appreciate the fine room after work. Decision was made to start from home Friday morning (6/18 - only 1 hour+ from South Jersey). We took a red eye to Philadelphia, so day 1 was little more than a bad flight that was late and crowded. We checked into the Fairfield Inn at 2:30am, the staff was very courteous and understanding. We slept in after our late flight, we packed up and headed out the door of the hotel in Philadelphia and almost turned right around. It was only 11:00am, yet it was close to 100 degrees and 90% humidity. The drive down to Washington DC was very pretty though.
