Loaded up the car with our stuff and finally hit the road at 12:20 pm. As we set out, the weather was nice and sunny and stayed that way all the way to Redding, CA. Drove along 680 - 80- 505 - 5. Most of the drive was through flat lands. Saw some spurts of lovely colored fall foliage on trees on the last stretch of 680 and on the 80. Stopped for gas somewhere along the 505. By this time stomachs were a rumbling. So we had our lunch there too - in some parking lot near the gas station. Lunch consisted of delicious qeema sandwiches and water.
