So after a slightly late start (this would be a pattern), we were off on our grand road trip. Driving from Nick's house we made our way up highway 101 with the plan to stop in Eureka for the night. We alternated driving every few hours and finally made it at about one AM in Eureka to stay at the beautiful Econo Lodge.
