Well, 8 hours to Riverdale and I can still feel my butt. Saw the world's biggest Buffalo in Jamestown. It's been many years since I've visited Frontier Village (as expected, nothing's changed). Watched a 9-man high school football game ("we" won): Wow 12 hours today. Which isn't a problem unless the last few hours are through unfamilar mountain roads... oh yeah rainy, drizzley, wet mountain roads. January 2, 2010 People attending this trip: Peggy (mom), Tom (mom's BF), Herman (Tom's dad), Zac (brother), Cale (Tom's son), Theresa (Cale's GF), and me (Tiffany). Operation: Sail Late in the afternoon mom and I were picked up by Tom and Herman for the first leg of the journey... get to Minneapolis. Our plane out of MSP left early the next morning. Initially we went to the wrong hotel. Who knew there were two Comfort Suites on American Blvd. We met up with Cale, Theresa and her parents at Macaroni Grill for a pre-trip meal. After months of planning and many bleary eyed nights in front of the computer and pouring over AAA books we're in countdown mode. With Memorial Day weekend behind us, it's now a flurry of oil changes, packing, mail stopping, getting someone to care for the cat and the what have I forgotten fears.
