We decided to rent a car with the "Never Lost" GPS system, and I'm very glad we did. After we left the airport we headed to Lexington/Concord area. "Little Miss Never-Lost" took us through the Ted Williams Tunnel to the MIT and Harvard area. it probably wasn't the quickest way to get to where we were going, but we did get to Harvard which was not on our list of things to do. We made it to Lexington. The first thing I noticed is it wasn't really what I was expecting at all. The trip begins! Finally I escape the bleakness of mid winter Wellington and the howling southerlies and rain and hail. Nice to catch up with Stu at Auckland Airport for a quick beer and chat. I have also had a chance to try out my new laptop - everything is working superbly. The Vaio laptop keyboard is the most tactile keyboard I have used. Mmmm .. did I really say that. Must be time to log off, have a red wine and wait until I actually have something interesting to report. Spoke to Mike in Chicago - he won gold in the Gay Games in his squash comp but his day was marred by a $US200 phone bill...
