When my sister canceled on me, I searched frantically for a travel companion. Then, when three volunteers stepped forward just days before I left, I decided I wanted to go solo. I needed to go solo. We had a wonderful time celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii. The Aloha spirit was everywhere we traveled in the islands. Day one was mainly a travel day for us. We left DFW Airport at noon and had a short layover in LA and arrived in Hawaii 5 hours later. We had VIP trans arranged to pick us up, deliver leis and drop off at our hotel. The reception was not as discribed and basicly they said "Here are your leis", loaded us up and drove to the hotel. Along the way, the driver complained about how tourist are down and he was going to lose his car. Stay away from VIP Transit. We arr...
