We had a wonderful time celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii. The Aloha spirit was everywhere we traveled in the islands. Day one was mainly a travel day for us. We left DFW Airport at noon and had a short layover in LA and arrived in Hawaii 5 hours later. We had VIP trans arranged to pick us up, deliver leis and drop off at our hotel. The reception was not as discribed and basicly they said "Here are your leis", loaded us up and drove to the hotel. Along the way, the driver complained about how tourist are down and he was going to lose his car. Stay away from VIP Transit. We arr...

Mom dropped us off at Lambert airport and had to come back twice - once because she thought we left our portable DVD player in the van (which we didn't) but then we had to call her back after she had arrived to work because Hannah had left her glasses in the van. So after all of that, luckily the airport was not busy so we made it through security pretty quick. The flight from St. Louis to LA was smooth. It took about 4 1/2 hours.
